For all those curious as to how it sounds, here's a sound demo for it all.

Kept in pretty darned good condition but unfortunately, mitigating circumstances mean I have to sell this within hours of owning it. Comes with a used but functional Warwick soft case. Below this paragraph is a description taken from the Musician's Friend website describing the bass in detail. I'm based in Hove and the price includes insured postage.
This Deluxe Jazz Bass has the look and tone that everyone knows and loves, but adds hot-rodded electronics, including active preamp circuitry, a pickup blend control, 3-band tone controls, and a slap switch. The Active V is perfect for either the burgeoning 5-string player or a low-cost 5-string second bass worthy of the working musician.

Any questions, please feel free to ask and I'm open to offers. I'm primarily interested in an MIJ fretless (Ibanez SR, SGC Nanyo's etc...) and please do excuse the shaky camera work on my end! Thanks for reading.

Karl, if you're going into depping work and such, I'd thoroughly recommend going through the websites of all of the functions bands and find a general pattern. Try and learn a bunch of songs from a certain era in a day as you'll find some of the 50s stuff, for example, to follow some sort of permutation of the same Latin influenced rhythm as well as a lot of chord tones. Grouping them by association makes the process SO much quicker!

Completed a trade with Sammy. Real stellar guy and nothing short of fantastic to deal with!

We've dodged 'Sex on Fire' so far, thank goodness.

I think soundcloud accepts wav files.
Are the strings all round wounds?

All of them are rounds, yeah. -

Asking everyone here as a hypothetical situation, which of the two options would you choose? -
You can either keep the Ritter Cora or have a night with Rita Ora. The choice is yours but choose wisely!

I know Marcus personally and he's a stellar chap to deal with. Pretty sweet bass too! -
Such compliments! Someone's got to snap this fine thing up, already. If not, I'll try and see anyone will buy it at the Herts Bass Bash.

Two hour train journey? Absolutely. This is too good to pass up!

ChunkyMunky - Musicman Bongo 5Hs, GenzBenz Shuttle 3.0-10T (providing it hasn't sold, already) -
I'll probably do a bunch of clips in Logic, some with drums for the sake of context, I'm not sure what I'll upload them on.
Also, just checked your blog out. -

You just like showing off your Bongo at every opportunity.
If you were Silvio Berlusconi, you would have Bongo Bongo parties.
When you're old, you'll hold up your arms and you'll have Bongo wings.
Your favourite drink is Um Bongo.

You bet I do! I just put it down 5 minutes ago, oddly enough. I saw the blueburst option and thought "well, I never!" -
Roy is pretty accessible via Facebook. Shoot him a message and you should be dandy to go.
-
Works fine for me! The really cheap and bright sunbursts you see on really low end Squiers and Encores make me feel a bit ill. Not a huge fan of sunburst but this bass works just great for me, irrespective of the finish.

Boss CS3 for sale! I do fancy a trade for anything. Could be a pack of strings (5 string only) or could be 50 Snickers bars. Anything you like as I'm not using this. Cash is also pretty cool too. I'm based in Hove!

Reggae playing. I walk on bass at a Jazz jam, play Latin stuff pretty decently and pull off your typical 16th note funk stuff. Reggae, though? Not a chance. I can't quite nail the feel and I don't think I'd go quite as far as one could probably imagine to nail the authenticity.
