1. Reggae playing. I walk on bass at a Jazz jam, play Latin stuff pretty decently and pull off your typical 16th note funk stuff. Reggae, though? Not a chance. I can't quite nail the feel and I don't think I'd go quite as far as one could probably imagine to nail the authenticity.

  3. Kept in pretty darned good condition but unfortunately, mitigating circumstances mean I have to sell this within hours of owning it. Comes with a used but functional Warwick soft case. Below this paragraph is a description taken from the Musician's Friend website describing the bass in detail. I'm based in Hove and the price includes insured postage.

This Deluxe Jazz Bass has the look and tone that everyone knows and loves, but adds hot-rodded electronics, including active preamp circuitry, a pickup blend control, 3-band tone controls, and a slap switch. The Active V is perfect for either the burgeoning 5-string player or a low-cost 5-string second bass worthy of the working musician.

Any questions, please feel free to ask and I'm open to offers. I'm primarily interested in an MIJ fretless (Ibanez SR, SGC Nanyo's etc...) and please do excuse the shaky camera work on my end! Thanks for reading. :)

  4. Karl, if you're going into depping work and such, I'd thoroughly recommend going through the websites of all of the functions bands and find a general pattern. Try and learn a bunch of songs from a certain era in a day as you'll find some of the 50s stuff, for example, to follow some sort of permutation of the same Latin influenced rhythm as well as a lot of chord tones. Grouping them by association makes the process SO much quicker!

  5. FOR SALE: Tanglewood TW40PAN (Parlour sized acoustic).

Near mint condition Tanglewood TW40 Sundance acoustic. It's a fingerpickers dream and comes with a bulky Kinsman soft case. Any questions, please do ask.
"Sundance Historic is an elegant example of 1940's style instruments carefully designed in classic styles by Michael Sanden. Every guitar features a solid North American Spruce top, African Mahogany neck with diamond volute and low key cosmetics comensurate with the era.Michael spent a long time fine tuning the quarter sawn Spruce bracing to match the resonance of the tone woods and the outcome is a vintage voiced model range that is still distinctively Tanglewood."

You just like showing off your Bongo at every opportunity.

If you were Silvio Berlusconi, you would have Bongo Bongo parties.

When you're old, you'll hold up your arms and you'll have Bongo wings.

Your favourite drink is Um Bongo.

You bet I do! I just put it down 5 minutes ago, oddly enough. I saw the blueburst option and thought "well, I never!"

  8. Boss CS3 for sale! I do fancy a trade for anything. Could be a pack of strings (5 string only) or could be 50 Snickers bars. Anything you like as I'm not using this. Cash is also pretty cool too. I'm based in Hove!
