I'm sure a new one still does.
This one came with the Hiscox case shown in the photo.
I bought the MM case for my SR4 but thought I'd give the buyer case options and priced accordingly - some buyers dont want hard cases at all.

bought an Alembic from Klaus - incredibly well packaged.

great communication and a safe delivery from Germany within 3 days.

3 band active EQ,
Black pickguard.
6 bolt neck plate
chrome battery cover
hand rubbed birdseye maple neck & rosewood fretboard.
weight is approximately 10 lbs 8 oz. or 4.5kg

a solid, versatile and well built instrument.

£1050 with MM case in good condition but with one hinge broken off - if collected.

I have an '88 Thumb NT4 - and confirm that the neck is super-slim. fantastic basses.
incidentally this one - E1344-88 - was built in May 1988 and was the 1,344th bass built in that year.
