1980 Rickenbacker 4001 Fireglo.
All original, except for a couple of the screws/washers for the machine heads
Near mint condition for a 44 year old bass. 
Currently strung with round wound strings but can supply the flats that came with it too.
Selling because am not planning to do any more live gigs.  
Hard Case is slightly tatty but closes fine,  no key. 
Some tarnishing on the tuner heads and a bit of rust on the input jack but all other metal parts are pristine. 
Serial number TK4667 dates it to November 1980.
Neck is straight, action is great
Everything works as it should, including the Rick-o-Sound stereo outputs.

I'm not desperate to sell quickly, but will negotiate if you have a very close offer in mind.
Would rather not post, but can do that fully insured and packed up tight in the hard case. 
Happy to deliver/meet within about 30 miles.

I bought this in 2012 and it's done hunbdreds of gigs and recordings.

if you are looking for a 'showroom quality finish' bass...stop here.

1989 stingray. 4 string, 4 bolt neck, 3 band eq, older style bridge with mutes (minus foam)
A Superb bass but has a couple of modifications.

At first when shipped from the factory the bass was fretless. the fretless board has been replaced with a birdseye maple flamed one by Martin Peterson at the Gallery in London and the workmanship is flawless as you would expect.
The neck is visually stunning both front and rear.

The body has been refinished. The bass previously was trans red. The bass has been refinished in white however this has not been done professionally but looks well.
Sound wise, that big fat stingray tone is there. Plentry of growl.

The bass is all original aside from the fretboard,finish and pickguard but the workmanship is superb.
The finish is far from perfect but the bass sounds, feels and plays awesome.

Absolutely phenomenal sounding basses. I had the 5 string - like in the video - but found the ‘board a bit wide for me. Sold it and bought a 4 string. Amazing tone, get rid of the flats and add rounds and it’s killer. My go-to recording bass. 

Absolutely fantastic person to deal with. Went above and beyond with providing ID details etc. terrific communication and the packaging was incredible. The bass arrived safely and swiftly. Would have no hesitation in recommending Terry to a prospective buyer/seller. Thank you again Terry.
