1. Hi,

Got this lovely Sterling off Rockinbassman, but since I've become the proud owner
of a Shuker 5 it hasn't been out the house.
The Sterling is natural with a nicely grained body, tort plate. Very slim maple neck.
Sounds like a Sterling should and plays like a dream, very low buzz free action.
The bass comes in a Musicman moulded case.

The price I'm looking for is £600 plus postage, but would be interested in taking
a lightweight cab as a P/X up to the value of £250ish, a Neo 12 would be my
first choice, EBS, Aguilar, Berg, but I'm open to offers.

Thanks,

Gary.

2. Hello All,

Having sorted my 5 string basses out, Zoot and lovely Shuker, I've
found this rack is is a bit too valvey? for them, to coloured,
but amazing with MM and Jazz basses.
Having tried some Markbass amps and combos recently I was amazed
on how IMO 'True to life' they are, not to mention LOUD and clean for a
small light box.
So I'm looking to trade these for a MB head or as P/X for a Combo.

The SVP Pro preamp has just been serviced and is in good condition.
Some rack rash and a one fader top missing off the graphic but
fader works fine,
The ADA B500B is in great condition, with speakons added on the main outs.
spec on the amp is:
Channel A 385 wpc into 4 ohm, 255 wpc into 8 ohm
Channel B 275 wpc into 4 ohm 210 wpc into 4 ohm
I've been using this setup as a Biamp system with
either a crossover unit or graphic for Low/Highpass.

Included is the Kinsman 4U case in the pix.
If anyone is interested in buying them its £375 for the lot.

Thanks,

Gary

3. Hello All,

After a great deal of soul searching I've decided to trade/sell my Bacchus 5,
Fretless having acquired a 5 Fretless Zoot care of Greene King...Cheers Peter.
The Baccus is an 05 Woodline Turbo 5, black nitro finish with matching
headstock. The body is Alder with a Maple neck and lined Rosewood fingerboard.
I've added a J-Retro so the tonal range is amazing, kept the Bacchus single coil
P/ups 'cos I prefer s/c tone and attack. String spacing is 17mm at the bridge.
I was considering getting this bass fretted, that would a waste of a beautiful
fretless.

The Bacchus is in excellent condition and comes with a Bacchus gig bag.

The price for a straight sale would be around £700.
I'm mainly looking to trade this bass for good quality fretted 4 pref a Jazz.
I would be particularly interested in a '70's reissue Jazz, US or Japanese,
with cash either way, but I'm open to suggestions.

There is a possibility of a fretted 5 being considered, I'm made some
inquiries about my custom build and 20-30 weeks is going to drive me LOOPY!
If anyone's interested you are welcome to try the bass, or I don't mind meeting
up halfway to do a deal!

I'm based in Sunny(well today anyway!) South Wales.

Some Pix:

Thanks,

Gary.

8. Happy New Year!

Having decided to take the plunge on a custom build, I'm selling
some basses and other bits of kit.
Don't know who's going to build the bass for me, but I'm hopefully
going to look at some Shukers this week, courtesy of Simon(Old Git).
So...for sale are:

Yamaha TRB6 mk1, got it off here a few months back. Great sounding and playing
bass, wide range of usable tones, comes with a fitted case. £450

Bitsa Jazz Bass, Mighty Mite neck, black Badass Bridge Emg active J P/ups
black Wilkinson tuners. Don't know the make of the body but it's medium
weight and solid wood, not ply. £125

I'll be putting some more bits'n'bobs up over the next few days.

Thanks,

Gary.

9.
Jeff Berlin is a nonse and if I met him, I would fight him. With fists.
Don't fight Jeff, he's a mentalist boxer.

Anyhoo, try loops for practice, keep time and
develop "The Groove"

Ta like,

Gary.

10. 'Morning All,

I thought these had gone to new homes, but alas 'twas not to be.
so here they are again.

SWR Goliath Jr III 350w 4 ohm, older version with grey grille, only used for practice.
or as top cab in Biamp setup.
Ashdown Superfly, boxed, under warranty. I've decided it's OTT for a practice amp
and GAS, coupled with my car horribly failing its MOT is getting the better of me.

Superfly is £150 inc postage.
Goliath £160 without postage.
Will consider trades for 53 plate Renualt Laguna Dci Cat :)

Cheers,

Gary.

11. Hi,

Thanks for the very interesting research, one question, my Eden navigator
uses a Groove Tubes 12ax7a. Can I use any 12ax7 for it, I prefer a clean
but 'warm' sound.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary.

12. Hi,

Done some research on Mk 1 Bass Pod prices and I'm
looking for £60 for mine. As new condition, only used on
a handfull of recording sessions. Forgot I had it in fact.
BTW it's the charcoal colour, kidney shaped gizmo.

Ta,

Gary.

13. 'Ello,

Hope this is the right place to post this.

I've got an original Bass Pod, charcoal, kidney shaped.
It's hardly been used since new, a few recording sessions.
Anyone have any idea what its worth? I was going to post it
for sale then realised I have absolutely no idea what to ask for,
not a clue.

Anyone help?

Ta,

Gary.
