1. Bought an Ibanez GSR200 off him, a pleasure to deal with and allround top bloke
Packaged really well and excellent communication throughout. Wouldn't hesistate to deal with again :)
Thank you!

2.
I once stepped backwards halfway through a gig and trod on my bypass tuner, thus immediately muting my sound! Now I've found the tuner out on the GB, I use that these days.
Guitarist in a band I used to be in did this once, in the middle of a solo!

Oh how I laughed.

3. I've got a Hartke Hydrive 1x15. I get so much bottom end I actually can't play it after about 8 at night as I'll upset the neighbours and my children who would be trying to sleep as it booms right through the house (and across the street!) even at low volume!
I love my cab. Got it from Pete Academy's shop. Can't recommend hartke enough!!

4.
A bloke whose lad has just returned from a guitar school in London told me his lad had been offered a job playing bass in a band. 'He'll find it easy, cos he's used to playing guitar.'

Has your lip recovered yet? Those bite marks must've hurt!

5. "25 year old female 5 string bassist looking for regular gigging band that doesn't fall apart because of guitarist egos, drummers who can't hold a can of beer let alone a beat, or singers who think they're the next axl rose/Steve tyler/James Hetfieldand leave in sight of 'bigger things' only to end up doing back alley pub karaoke gigs. Also not interested in screamo kids who plan on writing something 'new, unique, out-there and never seen before' only for it to turn into a 2 hour 'shout down the mic as loud as you can while the 'new' style they're writing is in fact 20 years old.
Yes, I'm female but that doesn't mean that you can take the piss/sexually harass me, call me 'luv' and allow your girlfriends to direct their pathetic 12 yr old insecurities and jealousy on me. Expect them to have their jordanesque little faces beaten in should they threaten me for 'steelin mah byfnd innit!' simply because I've shared the same breathing space as you.
Own gear and transport, gig experience and patience of a saint.

6. This is why I have (currently) 1 bass. My 5er. However I *like* to have one for every job, so am about to get a 4 string fretless, and in the future am planning on getting a 4 string for slap, as although I can (kind of lol) slap on my 5, the string spacing is very narrow so it's hard going.

7. After speaking to my luthier and mentioning my GAS for a fretless he's recommended getting an Ibanez (fretted) as the build quality is decent, and taking it to him to be fretted as it'd work out a fraction of the cost, plus the choice of fretless basses out there is more limited. I've been eyeing up ibanez basses for a while so him saying that has only compounded my GAS. :)
My question is can anyone recommend one? Would the SRs be ok to defret? I've no experience of defretting myself so not sure if there's anything in particular you need to be aware of...
