1. Ok, I've had this for probably close to 10 years, but it's not actually been used that much. I stopped playing a while after I bought it, and it sat in a box ever since. When I started playing again, I bought a Boss ME-50B & used that instead,

It's in pretty good condition - a scratch on the underneath, but that's about it.

I don't quite know how to price this as it's not for sale anymore (AFAIK), but 2 went on ebay earlier this month for £27 +£8 postage [here & here], so I'm looking for £25 delivered within the UK.

This doesn't include a power supply, but I can chuck in a non-official one for another £5. I don't have the original box or manual, but the manual is available online here.

Photos available on request, but it looks as it should!

2. I believe they introduced string through on US models in 2008 - I bought my US precision that year & remember it was when they introduced a few new changes, that being one of them.

3. Determined to get the feedback in first this time! :D
Just bought a bass back from Clarky that we'd previously bought & traded. As always pleasant chat over a coffee at Waterloo. Honoured a deal we'd made a while ago over the bass too, cheers! Hopefully catch you again soon!

4. Howdy folks,

Up for sale (only, sorry!) is a Westone Thunder 1A. Made in the 80's in Matsumoku, I don't think I need to say much more than that :) It's both active / passive, and has a wide range of sounds available as a result.

I'm not sure what year it was born (if I can provide details to anyone to give it an age, let me know!).

For the money, this is a fantastic bass - great sound, easy to play & feels like a well made instrument.

Condition:
The bass is around 30 years old, and certainly looks it. There's various dings, chips & scratches. I've tried to photograph most of them / the worst. It's certainly a players bass & has some history, so if you're looking for one in immaculate condition I'm afraid it's not this.

The reason I'm selling is I've had an opportunity to buy back a fretless I traded a little while ago, and this was bought mainly to try one out after hearing rave reviews from here. I bought it as a backup, but since acquired a JV Squier which meant that my US Fender P became the backup!

I'm looking for [s]£140[/s] £130 + postage, which will include a Stagg hardcase. The hardcase has a few scratches on it, but is perfectly usable. I can provide pictures if required, but it's behind a TV stand & under the stairs so is a bit of a pain to get to!

Trial / collection is welcome from Basingstoke. I may be able to deliver / meetup locally, so do ask :)

Any more info just shout!

Due to the christmas rush & break, I won't post it this side of Christmas - it'll just end up sat in a warehouse for a few days, I'd rather it be sat safe & warm in my house until the delivery men have had their christmas dinner.

Not used these, but should be top quality:

I have used these for years and they have never let me down. Fast service too.

I've used his cables - need to get me some more actually. Indeed, quality cables - the guy only lives around the corner from me too.

However I bought OBBM speakon cables recently - built like tanks, top quality. Compared to the Stagg ones I was using, they've added even more low end to my Barefaced cabs.

6. Yup, do not worry - I've bought 2 cabs from them & the comms can be a bit slow / sporadic. If they replied to all the comms they received, they'd never get any cabs built - they are a very small team. It will take 2 - 3 months to get your cab & you won't hear much apart from when it starts production & when it's ready for delivery, but it's definitely worth the wait.

7. Woohoo, time to become rich and famous! Or not...

Sugarman Sam & the Voodoo Men have just released our first EP. Featuring yours truly on bass! :) We're a blues/rock band, started out at the beginning of the year & have been working hard ready for next year. We recorded 4 songs earlier this year & have finally got to distributing the result (4th is a cover & we've held off whilst checking copyright etc.).

Please do give it a listen & let me know what you think?

8. Just another comment to say I played this at the SE bass bash too, and it was beautiful - extremely light! Was stupidly easy to play with beautifully low action. I hit the strings pretty hard so that's usually a problem for me, but with this it wasn't.

Do it :)

9. Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising & hosting the event. It was great fun, really enjoyed it - ended up staying longer than I was meant to! Whoops...

Good to meet a few friends, as well as get chatting to new ones & try out some different gear. That P-bass that Shockwave had was lovely....

I was the one with the Orange terror head + barefaced can in the theatre room, for anyone wondering!

Cheers
