The Big Twin 2 effectively replaces the Dubster. As it stands no Dubster owners have used powerful enough amps to take their cab beyond the Big Twin 2's max LF SPL capabilities, plus the Big Twin 2 goes lower, is far more tonally versatile, smaller and possibly lighter too.

Excellent, now I know -
So is the new ported 2x15 a replacement for the dubster? Was considering a dubster when I have some money, very sad if it's gone.

Started on Master blaster. A great bouncy Nate Watts bass line

Great tune, but that bassline is so much more difficult than it looks on paper. -
If there are any sorta fixation points, cable ties could work

Collar and lead? Works fine on children

'Fixed the neck with a genuine lawsuit gibson neck (from a 6 string) and lowered the action to within a gnat's chuff of being playable'

May well cover a lot of the stuff already suggested, but most stuff featured in Guitar Hero/Rock Band could be a good starting point.

I'm almost willing to take a punt on that. Not that ugly, IMHO. It'll sound like any other piezo equiped bass. Might be better with new piezo bridge but for that price you're not going to loose much.

I'd lose my dignity... -

Now that's strange. Quite ugly, and I can't think it sounds very good either. Thoughts? -
Ebay listing of the year right there

Really wanted to attend last night, but was rota'd on, and I didn't finish til 8:30 As students, we don't get to choose our shifts.

You need to sharpen your lead before you can write with a pencil. And if your pencil is pointless then you may need to sharpen a bit further.

Started on Madhouse by Anthrax in my lesson today. Gonna be a long time before I can play it well at full speed, but great fun!

I got to this thread a bit late, it seems. I was gonna say you can get a small set of files from car parts places. I have a set for airsoft guns, and they're pretty delicate.

I found a good article about them:

I liked my bongo 5hhp for the short time I had it before realizing a major flaw it had, not sure if it was common to all bongos but I couldn't be arsed to investigate further and instead I soon lost interest and shifted it as fast as it came

What flaw is that? -
Weirdly enough, few others seem to be appreciating the full humorous possibilities of this thread, discreet

just back from seeing this lot in Lincoln.
sadly no Dan (D-L-B ) playing for them anymore, but still stupidly tight live !

Hmm :/ Sounds a bit like grindcore but without balls...

Cheers, that Dwarves song was ace too. I still prefer the older, hardcore stuff from Blood Guts and Pussy and The Dwarves Are Young and Good Looking, but the new stuff is great as well, in a different way. Every time I've seen em play live they've tended to play the faster, heavier stuff, and the crowd always goes nuts, even in tiny venues. -

One of their fastest songs, haha.
