That's fairly inoffensive as decals go isn't it? I wouldn't have known it was the Biffy logo and I quite like them.
This that decal is pretty small personally if it was me I would live with it seems like alot of hassle to remove something so small

How bad is it and where are you? Some cheap basses start with sharp fret ends anyway, as long as the frets are in the slots then you can use a file and a nail file to smooth them off, as for the setup I'm sure one of us can at least get it playable or maybe better if you bring it to us, I'm happy to do it based near Stafford depending on where in Wales you are that may be of use or not but im sure someone else would offer the same? :)
Good idea and what a nice offer personally I would sell the Tanglewood as is and buy something else and Pete's bass looks so lovely I don't think he should sell it I think he should give it to me lol

It's neither an SB Elite II nor a Matsumoku product. It's an SB-ELT, first models of which date to '88. If you're lucky the code sticker may still be there - between/below the 1st and 4th tuners.
you Could of opened a can of worms here mate I don't what it is , but it is a nice bass :)

Hello Thunderbird my friend. If all T'birds are as good as yours you could just be right. I hope your arm is better and you are giving it some stick at the low end. Take care.

  6. I set them both at about 12 oclock I find that good for me its hard to try and describe the tone as everyone has different ideas on it but I would say I get a nice warm punchy rock sound with the settings I use mine also has an upgraded seymour SB1 pickup but I just love this bass I have tried a lot of other basses similair to this and they don't come close to the G+L for me maybe I am biased but all I know is it is just such a joy to play and sounds great looks pretty good too :)

  7. Hi mates I am thinking of getting something like a Peavey Milestone for a little project I want something in a jazz type formation , now I am thinking the Peavey is right for the job as you can pick up a decent one for around 50 quid I also have seen a few Yamahas and Ibanez basses with a jazz type formation. I am thinking of upgrading the pickups and maybe a little respray new strings nothing to major so you guys got any suggestions on what I should be looking for? I have set myself a budget of 50 quid for the bass but parts etc I need will be bought as and when I have funds. Just wanted to add I am not looking for any "no name basses"

    Thanks in advance

  8. Well the title says it all really sorry if this has been done before I did search for a thread on this but could not find one so I started a new one.I do most of my Bass shopping online mainly for the reason that there is not really any good music shops near where I live and I cant drive at the moment so online shopping is great for me as I can have the stuff delivered the only real drawback is you cant really try stuff, So I just wondered if you guys shopped online for Bass stuff or use your local music shops? when buying large items such as basses and amps I always look in the for sale area here as a starting point but for smaller items such as strings, straps etc etc I tend to use ebay Amazon and strings direct I have just started using Thomann also for a few purchases and find them pretty good. looking forward to your answers on this one guys :)

    Thanks Mark
