Ok, lets settle on the 11th at Cheddatom's studio. Could you confirm Cheddatom, and I'll amend the opening post to this thread Also maybe an Admin could change the name of the thread to say 'Staffordshire Bass Meet Up - 11/08'

Looks like the Leopard Pub is booked for the 10th, doh, looking into the 17th of August. Spoke to Chris at Rhythm Foundry and he has kindly offered to give us a demo and answer any practical/theory question people have.

My apologises, obviously I cant be trust to pick a date correctly, I mean the 10th of August :-) sorry for the confusion.

Really pleased that we're getting quite a bit of interest for the meet up Let me know if you have suggestions for things to do on the day. I've messaged both Rhythm Foundry and Academy of Sound, no reply as yet, I have a lesson this evening so I shall call into Academy of Sound and have a word with Dean at Rhythm Foundry.

Glad were building up quite a bit of interested, I'm going to give it another few days then settle on a date. I'm also thinking about contacting maybe https://www.theacademyofsound.co.uk/ to see if they want to come along, maybe bring few basses. Also http://www.rhythmfoundry.co.uk/, they can plug there lesson and I know Dean is a Drummer, maybe we could get him to bust out some beats for us to jam to!

I've spoken to the land lady at the Leopard and the function room is available to use with a little notice as there quite busy. http://www.burslem-leopard.co.uk/ Is there any preference on what day of the week is best for people? i.e weekday or weekend? I suppose the weekend maybe a little busy for people with families and also the venue. As far as a date goes I think round about 3 - 4 weeks from now?

I count 9, would everybody be happy with the meet up happening in Burlsem, Stoke-on-Trent ? If so I'll contact the Leopard pub.

I think firstly we need to establish interested, I count 7 so far with including people I've spoke to offline. Then I guess picking a venue would be next, I have The Leopard pub in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent in mind as I know the land lady and I'm sure she could accomodate us in the back room, plus she's a drummer and the food is excellent

Great post! Question though does anyone else have trouble with the .ipb files attached to these lessons, wouldn't a move popular format be better? say .pdf and .mp3 Mac osx does'nt seem to like them, I can't find a program to open them, what do you all use?
