I've got a black one of these. Seems to play fine and it gives that mwaaah sound quite readily. Intonation's a bit crap though....
-
These are excellent basses and this would be great value for anyone thinking of moving to a 6er.
Actually, I think you can pretty much play the whole thing (except the solo) in one position!
Sitting down? -
Well I'm glad that it's tabbed for 5-string, but what are all those black dots? Don't you know that you need to put the little numbers on it so that I know which fret to play?
-
Really enjoying this.

Got the gig. Thanks for all of your help.

He wrote the book. I like this:
He has performed and recorded with some of the leading British jazz musicians including as Jim Mullen, Iain Ballamy, Stan Sultzman, Janusz Carmello, Dave DeFries, Tim Whitehead and Roy Williams.
His ambition is to play with one of these guys twice.
Big respect. I'd love to write a book, but the commitment involved scares the life out of me. -
What's the neck radius?
About half a mile by the looks of it. Scary stuff. Nice wood though. -
You bought a book?
-
Good effort - very Opeth - I was waiting to hear the vocal.....
I enjoyed the solo too. -
Sounds like you should be careful if the screws are bigger in the original holders. Can you re-use them with the new holders? You can buy the Warwick wax from the website, but if you don't want to do that, here's a thread about alternatives.
Nice bass, good luck. -
Schwiiiing.

Remember to start a diary thread to post the pictures in then.

Here you go then. She even does extras. Amazing what you stumble across when you're innocently looking for a band to join...

And then spend an afternoon recording your own farts?
Is this studio planned as a commercial venture, or purely for personal use? -
Awesome, 30 amps? You got enough????
I doubt that's amplifiers. It'll be something about lectrickery. -
Not a great deal unfortunately. I've got one of these (mine has side handles though, not shown in your picture) and I think I only paid about £160 brand new, and that was a few years ago now. I can never get the sound I want out of mine...
-
It's certainly very lovely and the price seems reasonable (I'd give that for it anyway). The P&P is a bit of a git though.
-
It fluctuates depending on my level of interest/enthusiasm, but never more than 1 hour per night because other stuff takes priority.
-
Ha ha, that one's fabulous, and it sounds like it gets a good reaction.
"That's right. Those two ladies over there, fantastic!"
-
Well, it's hardly the Anti-Nowhere League now is it? That was kind of what I was expecting from a punk band. I'm out of touch is all.
-
Woah! A giant bass!
-
Very enjoyable and sickeningly accomplished for live.
I listened to a couple of tracks waiting for a bass solo (as advertised), but didn't get to one. Can you point me in the right direction please? Weird bass sound on parts of Acid Rain - is that a bass? What is the effect? -
This is good. Really nice and clean. Reminds me of Hoobastank a little.
