    I hadn't heard of hearthis.

I will be in a similar position to you later this year where I'll need to share some works in progress and I was totally put off setting up a new SoundCloud account, so I will give it a look

So far it seems pretty good.

I don’t know what the user base is like if you decided to use it for promoting your stuff, but as a host for ideas, it does it just like Soundcloud did.

  2. I’ve signed up to hearthis.at & it’s just what I need.
It’s like Soundcloud used to be. Looks very similar, it’s easy to use & the free version has an upload limit of about 50 songs.

Perfect for hosting to share, like sending song links to people or posting in the Basschat compo compo.

When I get more time, I’ll have a look at the other options too.

  3. I’ve got a new band forming & wanted to upload a couple of song snippets online to seek other musicians & promote the music/band.

So as I’ve done in the past, decided to create a soundcloud account for the band. Done!

But it’s now limited to a 2 track upload for the free account (it used to be something like an hour of audio).

So I’m looking to see what alternatives there are.

Does anyone on here have experience with or use the likes of Bandcamp, Audiomack, Hearthis.at or any other platforms that they’d recommend or is it worth buying the Soundcloud subscription?

    Cheers.

thats a different song, but it's worse than that - don't they repeat the lion and the lamb bit? Doesn't that make it two lions and two lambs?

So it was, that was “How grate is our god”.  🤣

Yes, it does indeed.  7 in 1 it is then.

We played Lion and the Lamb too! Nice setup!

I always thought it was mathematically challenged.
“The godhead 3 in 1, father, spirit, son, the lion & the lamb”.
    I’m pretty sure that’s 5 in 1. 😂

  6. I started a project with a drummer last year. We’re writing a handful of songs & hope to be gigging them this year.

We have a vocalist who also plays acoustic guitar, the drummer has an ekit & includes a couple of multi pad controllers, and I play a mix of synth & loops & control the flow of the song arrangements.

So after some tweaking & working out what I need to get this going we’ll, I’ve added a Launchpad Pro. Not only can it control much of Logic (which I use as a host and the band feed into it too), but it has a built in 4 track poly sequencer. So there’s the temptation to try just it & the Jupiter for some stuff.

It’s got a bit of a Saturday Night Fever vibe going on.

An old classic korg triton le. I'm replacing a digital piano with this. As a piano it's clearly a downgrade but to be honest, being limited to piano has meant I've slowly lost interest and so I thought a wee keyboard with various sounds might get me playing a bit more!

First impressions.. nicely built. Sounds great although the pianos are a bit naff. Lots of assignable knobs. Hopefully midi works fine so I can use it as a controller.

    Nice one.

If you need better piano sounds, there’s plenty of VST pianos you can use.

  8. Probably my fave song of 2024 & the more I listen to it, the more I love it. It just doesn’t go on for long enough.

She’s a Canadian Palestinian. Her label dropped her just as she was about to release her debut album after things blew up in Palestine. Had she been a Zionist, things would have been different.
    The whole album is fantastic.

  9. I used a godlyke wall wart PSU (similar to a onespot) & daisychained the pedals. Worked fine for a good few years, but then I started getting a whine. Found out that the PSU was the issue, so got a 2nd hand T-rex Fueltank jr for @ £50 & no more whine.  They power 5 9v pedals & don’t take up much room.

I think that's spot on. The thing they aren't great at doing is the sparkly modern sound; they sound like a loud old tube amp and if that's your thing it's great.

Re: knobs - yes, they're awful but fairly easy to replace

Agreed.  Other than the claimed watts & the knob quality, I’ve only heard good things about the RH heads.

But it’s not an answer to the question.
I was querying if the 750 did actually have more power than the 450 or if they were both the same?

    Here's a follow up question…

If they were both the same wattage, was the 750 louder than the 450 & if so, how?  Did they maybe restrict the output on the 450?
