1. I bought one of the Behringer BSY600 Bass Synthesisers, and it's lots of fun, but I can't actually find a use for it!! I've tried rolling back the volume of the effect in comparison with the dry so it's less in your face, but it still sounds like a space invaders game :) I think I may have wanted a envelope filter, I'm going for the bass sound from the jamiroqui track from Godzilla, which is dirty but has something else on it.....

  2. Reasonably priced Infinity:

  3.
At the risk of this seeming like a personal vendetta, I'd steer clear of any of those ultra cheap acoustics. They seem to be horribly made, and you're buying one from someone who knows naff all about instruments - 43" bass? That's double bass territory! Oh wait, you mean the overall length - wow, what a useful measurement!

I gave mine away - couldn't sell it with a clear conscience!
I've got one of those Swifts, and now I've spent half an hour setting it up, it's a nice enough bass for that sort of money. Did need tweaking though.....

  4. I'd buy from him if he was a UK seller, but I wouldn't have said it was worth the price plus shipping plus the import tax to bother with, if there's a problem with it you're going to have a hard time sorting it. But that said, this is the first butterfly bass I've seen, and I wanted a purple finished butterfly guitar but my wife banned me from buying it!! (Actually, I wanted to custom build a doubleneck, so it had antenna...)

  6.
do you really need two kidneys?

have you ever considered selling one?

    :)
Lol, to be honest it's overkill. I have a 120 watt hartke and a 100 watt ashdown at the moment, and I play in my babies room when he's not in it!! I haven't got time for a band anymore.....

  7.
Just thought I'd note, the green one is relisted at lower price with no proper title: no. 320249959442
Still needs to come down about another £25 before I'd bother. The damage is far too off putting, despite the sellers claims that its "easily paintable" If I had the time I'd buy it to refinish.

  8. I used a pair of pliers (the pincer kind) and then used wood filler and several hours of sanding. Isn't perfect but it does the job. Then I went a bought a real fretless instead :)

    There's some pics here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18151

As you can see, I damaged the fretboard around the frets a little, which shows with uneven lines. The neck is still smooth however, it just looks a bit naff.

  9.
I do feel very strongly about copies being passed off as the real thing
As do I, especially with things like Squier's and Epiphone's. What gets me about the Ric crowd is the evangelism you see on their forums and that website, the genuine hatred that someone would dare make a copy of their beloved instruments....
