I have the ABM 410 also and have received compliments on it. They are birch ply, I believe. The RM cabinets are currently lighter poplar ply and they now have a 15/tweeter cabinet that I fancy . It is barely 19" square on the front and less than 14" deep ! At about 35 lbs. or less this is a cabinet that almost carries itself ! Does it sound good, using two cabinets ?  Otherwise Ashdown make an ABM 210 I could dig. Those blue speakers look good to me.

I've had ABM cabs that were MDF. A 410 and Compact 115. Mark Gooday confirmed to me some ABM cabs were MDF... I felt cheated, still sounded great tho.

  2. When I lived in the Leeds area I never struggled to find a working band, and plenty of gigs too. Since moving to Scarborough three years ago, I havn't been able to find anything local, although I never went networking which probably didn't help.  I had to look further afield and my current band is based in Hull. It's a tribute band tho, so gigs are fewer than say a normal covers band, and we travel the country. I've given up trying to find anything local.

  3. Now Sold

These have been on my spare Jazz bass for six weeks. In which time they have done one rehearsal, one gig, and a few hours home practice. Still in good condition. Have just decided I prefer roundwounds.

Fender 9050 Stainless Steel Flatwound 4 string set. 105-55 Long Scale. Have been cut for Fender 4 a side.

£15 posted to UK. Paypal gift for payment.

  5. In my experience, these things tend to pickup the smell of whatever environment they are stored or used in, due to the cooling fans drawing in the surrounding air. My Ashdown amp smells of plug-in air freshener everytime I use it. Ive tried cleaning the inside as much as possible but cant shift the smell.  This particular smell wouldnt be a problem for most, but any perfume and such are a trigger for my migraines!
