1. Just collected a TC RS212 cab from Dave. Cab is exactly as described - in fact, I'd say it's in even better condition than his ad had suggested. I actually bought it before Christmas but was unable to pick up until today. Dave had kindly offered to drop it off on his way to a gig in Wales but I wasn't in then, so he has patiently held on to it for me until today. It was a pleasure to meet Dave and have a chat today. He is very friendly, extremely helpful and totally straight - the perfect BC trader, in other words! Highest recommendation!

  2. Just sold a couple of Darkglass effects pedals to John. Prompt payment, efficient and friendly communications, and he's a Rush fan too - who could ask for more? A great Basschatter all round; trade with 100% confidence!
    Thanks, John!

  3. Your ingenuity knows no bounds, Jabba! Impeccable green credentials using recycled materials, too! And as far as I can tell from the pics it looks to me like the colour and texture of the notepad cover might actually be a really good match for the top on this build - here's hoping we'll be able to see it in the flesh at the Bash this May!

  4. Downsizing my pedalboard, so up for sale [s]go these three fantastic Darkglass pedals[/s] goes this fantastic Darkglass pedal:

    [s]Duality - £120[/s] SOLD

Two fuzz circuits in one pedal. Cranking the ‘Duality’ knob hard to the left gives you a lovely vintage gated fuzz tone; crank it all the way to the right and you get a face-melting modern high gain fuzz. Panning the knob between these two extremes allows you to blend these two core sounds according to taste.

This one is the Made in Finland version, with uber-cool mirror-plated front, so you can enjoy looking at the demented grin on your own face as you press down on the footswitch and unleash the sonic apocalypse. There’s velcro on the bottom; otherwise, in immaculate condition.

    [s]Super Symmetry - £150 [/s] SOLD

By far the best compressor pedal I’ve ever used - surprisingly easy to use, extremely transparent (it doesn’t colour your tone at all), and incredibly quiet. It’s also hands down winner of the ‘coolest-looking comp pedal on the market’ competition … not that that matters at all, of course!

Has velcro on the bottom; otherwise, in immaculate condition.

    [s]Vintage Microtubes - £110[/s] SOLD

Made in USA version. Has velcro on the bottom; this one is in used but still excellent condition - works perfectly, no issues.

This one probably needs no introduction from me, but anyway, it gives you everything from warm and subtle gain tones to full-on distortion firestorm, with a pleasing and very usable emphasis on midrange frequencies - it really cuts through in a live mix.

All prices include postage in the UK. Postage will be deducted if you collect in person from Gramme Towers in South Birmingham. I’m happy to ship internationally at additional cost, depending on where you are in the world.

I don’t have the original packaging for any of these pedals, but they will come very securely boxed and bubble-wrapped.

Multi-buy option: if you buy all three pedals together I will knock off £20 and send them to you for the bargain price of £360 posted in the UK.

    “Any trades?”
I’d be interested in trade or part-exchange deals involving the following, if in excellent condition:
    Lehle Little Dual
    Strymon Timeline
    TC Electronics RH750
    TC Electronics RS210

    No other trade offers, please.

    Thanks for looking!

I love Jazz Basses, except for one thing that absolutely drives me up the wall (and has already been mentioned)...
TWENTY FRETS? WHY?? What the hell is the point of a range of E to E flat..?
Indeed. Same with Precisions. My first ever bass was a Precision, and even back then I found this totally baffling. Still do!

  6. Nice one, AT!

  7. Erm, anyone ever heard of Black Sabbath? Already going before Lemmy joined Hawkwind, and according to their own website (http://www.blacksabbath.com/history.html) "credited with creating heavy metal.”

  8. Tamás bought an Aguilar Tonehammer 500 and two Aguilar SL112s from me. It has been a pleasure and a delight to trade with him - he is extremely friendly, helpful, efficient and flexible, and a fantastic communicator. He also arranged for the gear to be shipped to Hungary - usually I prefer to do this, but he was able to get a much better rate from a Hungarian company called Wondertrans, who did a fast and efficient door-to-door service. So if Tamás offers to organise shipping for you, my advice is ‘go for it!’ Less hassle for you, and less expensive for Tamás!

100% recommendation from me - a man you can trust, and one of life's real Good Guys.

I’m really pleased to see this gear go to such a good new home - Tamás is a true Aguilar connoisseur, and a funktastic player too (check him out on YouTube).

    All the best, Tamás!
