That's a very unusual and interesting bass! Can you provide a few more details:

    - What is the coil configuration of the pickup and any switching options?

    - Does it also have piezo saddles (I'm guessing not as I can't see a battery compartment)?

    - Are there any controls or is it direct to jack?

I'd love to hear how it sounds, can you provide a demo of some sort?

    Thanks

There are NO controls, no pickup variations and no piezo (interesting though, that could be a retro fit).

A demo recording? Gawd I will give it a try. I'd much rather a frequent fretless player come and do that. Any volunteers?

  2. Having ran Bass Gear for eight years, I had the pick for myself of whatever I could afford. In that time, the best fretless I EVER had in the shop was this beauty. I just had to have her, but times change and I'm thinning the herd ahead of a house move.

Hand made by master luthier Umut Dal in April 2015 using his own bridge and pickup design, this light weight hollow bodied bass has a top wood of master grade flamed katalox and katalox fingerboard.  It has descrete fretmarkings on the side of the fingerboard. If I needed Umut to make me a replacement now, I suspect it would be at least double what I'm asking for it.

If you are interested in having a truly expressive fretless then you really must try this.

The stated maximum current draw of 375mA seems conservative for 7 pedals, you may risk overloading the supply.

You may want to check the specs of all your pedals so make sure you wont exceed this. http://stinkfoot.se/power-list is a good resource if you cant find info on the pedal itself of from the manufacturer.

However it is also worth mentioning that if you're going to be bi-amping you will very likely run into some ground loop issues if running everything off the same supply.

Here are the Current Draw figures. NB: I wont be using them all at the same time.

    MOOER PEDAL Current Draw mA

    Acoutstikar 17
    Shim Verb 128

You could daisy-chain the DC10 as the 7 x 9v outputs are not isolated from one another, however best practice would still be to use separate cables.

I will certainly do what is safest, but seven cables might be more messy than one. Thanks for your comments. I've not dared use so many pedals before but I want to stereo in to two rigs with different FX per channel.

  5. A question for you pedal experts...

I've got a Dunlop DC10 power brick and want to power seven 9v pedals from it. Sadly, I've lost the cables and need to order.

Should I buy seven separate cables, or can a single daisy chain lead work from just one of its outputs?

  7. I have dragged myself into the 21st century by putting pdfs of song sheets on my Samsung galaxy S2 tablet which is mounted on a stand. I need to follow music sheets playing numbers unfamiliar to me with a new Ceilidh band I've just joined.

Is there an app that allows me to sequence the song sheets in order of the set list?
