  1. Sanded the fingerboard up to grain 600.

    Hammering in the frets.

    And done.

    Now I still need to glue the fret ends, then finish the sides and level the frets, crowning and polishing will be done after the neck is fully shaped.


  2. Machined two radiuses at the end of the neck.


    Machined the neckpocket and pickup holes.


    And the coming together of the two (not yet glued), the neck has a perfect fit in the body and needs to be pushed in with a reasonable amount of force and already stays in place by the way it fits.

  3. Decided on the position where the knobs and switches should come and drilled the holes for these.
    Centered the holes for the single string bridge parts.


    Rough cut the wood for the neck.
    Wenge fingerboard, maple/wenge/maple/wenge/maple neck, merbau - with body matching walnut top - headstock.
  4. At last after 1.5 weeks of preparing and gluing, today I've been happily busy with shaping the outside.

    Sanded the outer body contour, routed the radius on the edge of the body and and routed out the soundholes.
