  1. Check out one of these:

I picked one up recently and it's brilliant. I did change the strings for some decent ones, and I gave it a quick set up. I've gigged it too and it rocked.

  2. I used 360 Mastering in Hastings last year. They were great. We were there for the whole afternoon so we had a lot of input during the process. They have some amazing old valve gear. We needed the bottom end tightening up a bit and we got the vocals to sit up in the mix beautifully. We had a couple of tweaks we wanted done afterwards and they were more than helpful in getting things sounding exactly how we wanted. I can't remember exactly how much we paid but it wasn't as much as Abbey Road, maybe £40-50 a song. We thought our mixes were good before but the mastering brought them to life. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

  3. A Jaydee Supernatural. It was the late 80's. I camped out outside the Bass Centre in Wapping for 2 nights waiting for them to open on a Monday to get the yellow one they had in a January sale. Back then that area was rough as f*ck. The bass was £400, half price and well worth braving the cold and Wapping for. I had the cash in my back pocket and in my jacket I had the leg from a mic stand ready in case anyone tried to mug me. Some cops from the nearby station pulled up on the first night wondering what I was doing. Once I'd explained why I was there they let me come to the station day & night for free coffee refills in my flask. It all worked out fine and I got the bass.

  4. I'll catch up with that later. I was having a discussion with a guitarist recently about a particular song key. He said it was in C but I was arguing it was A minor. Anyhow, after a good banter about it I told him to play whichever chord he wanted to, because when I played my note underneath, I'd be the one deciding which chord it would be. That's one of the reasons how important the bass is in music.

  5. COG T-16 - SOLD
I've just upgraded to a T-65 so this lovely octave is now surplus to my requirements. This is a very versatile octaver packed into a small 1590A enclosure, so it doesn't eat up much pedal board real estate. The controls are Clean Volume, Octave Down Volume & Octave Down Filter. The tracking really is fabulous and the filter gives a wide variety of octave down tones.

This pedal is in immaculate condition and comes in its original box. It has Velcro on the base.
The price is £110 shipped anywhere in the UK on a recorded service.

    BEARFOOT BLUEBERRY - SOLD
I really love this pedal but it's not getting used much these days. It can do subtle low gain all the way up to high gain. And with the Nature knob you can go from full on low end growl to high end bite, and everything in between. A great all rounder that's had a lot of love here recently.

It has had lots of use, and unfortunately it's got some scratches & dings and one larger paint chip on the front edge. These are shown in the pictures and reflected in the asking price. It doesn't come with the original box, and it has Velcro on the base.
The price is £60 shipped anywhere in the UK on a recorded service.

  7. When there isn't a DJ I use Spotify. It doesn't beat match or anything fancy like that, but there's an option to reduce the time gap between songs which means if it's set right as one song ends the next one starts pretty much straight away. Some songs with long fade outs don't work so well with this but I've ended up cutting those from my playlists.
