This track features the fabulous Pino Palladino on Bass (listen out for some subtle used of an OC-2) !!!

3. Also have a PT-2, but chose the Carl Martin ProPower.. http://www.carlmartin.com/product_pro_power.htm .. Mains powered and velcroed to the underside of the board.. 8 individual isolated and regulated 9v (150mA) – 12v (110mA) outputs; extended power at output 7-8 9v (350mA) 12v (220mA). DIP switch on the back of the ProPower allows you to switch the voltage of each output between 9-12v. Highly recommended.

4. I have a few TC toneprint pedals - they are not dedicated 'bass pedals', but work fine with all my basses - passive or active - no tone suck whatsoever.. If I had a spare 45 notes, and was looking to muck about with a multi-unit, I might be tempted by the VOX (read Korg) StompLab IB Effects Modelling pedal.......

5. :hi:

.. Yesterday, I made the journey north on board a cross country train to meet The 'Bassbunny' (in person), and I am now the very proud owner of a David Eden WT-550 amp (U.S built). Unfortunately, I had less than an hour to talk to Stuart over a much needed coffee at Stockport railway station - and has been stated many times before on this forum - Stuart is a lovely guy, with so much gear knowledge and Band experience, you can't help but be enthralled..

He has a fantastic collection of basses, amps and cabs.. and it was good to chat away to another Bassist, just for a change!! but much too soon.. the train to take me back south was approaching.. why couldn't there have been a signal failure? or the wrong kind of snow? or a cancellation?!?! of all days'.. oh well

Communication? Excellent! We had spoken on the phone a few days' before, and kept in touch on the day of the meet/trade via mobile/text..
And the amp? well, what do you think!! absolute mint.. rack ears.. power chord.. well packed with poly foam in a Marshall box.. and it sounded..
just like the Eden I'd tried in the Bass Gallery in London almost 20-years before.. the amp I'd always wanted to own was finally home.. and who better to have owned it before me! :)

Keep going Stuart - enjoy gigging - and great to meet you!

Simon

... as above.. but as well as other people.. try playing along to some kind of drum machine or Looper? .. An on-line tutor I can recommend is MarloweDK http://playbassnow.com/ .. it's a great resource.. I've been playing Bass for 20-years.. and still learning! .. have fun
9. :hi: hi Yvette! The best equipment to get? hmm! well, each to their own.. but there is tons of pre-loved gear in excellent condition out there; especially on Basschat.. it doesn't have to cost the earth.. I've done one or two trades myself and made some friends.. the best equipment is the gear you can just leave set up, plug in & play whenever you can! ..

.. I didn't think I'd be doing this again this year? but GAS has taken over and overwhelmed me.. again.

Look away now dirt/fuzz fans!! As you can probably tell, I quite like modulation and Octave type effects. :D

As before, there are no passengers, and it's all used, but not all at the same time.. almost everything is pre-loved and in excellent condition / 2nd-hand, mainly from on-line auctions.. or given away *free* (TC Corona Chorus) as part the BH250 promotion. The BOSS OC-2 is the only pedal on the board bought new in 1992 (?)

I've recently acquired an 'Alter Ego' Delay; the 'Shaker' which sound great together; And I've recently sold the EQ-20 and bought in a Source Audio EQ. The MarkOne Audio pedal is an excellent, great value addition which enables me to add two loops.. I've also swapped out the MXR Auto-q, and I'm trying out the BOSS AW-3.

I'm using the TC modulation in an amps effects loop, and the Octave/Wah between Bass and amp. It's all powered with a Carl Martin Pro-power.

The chain is: TC Polytune > SAEQ > Loop 1. OC-2 > Octave deluxe > AW-3 > Loop 2. Shaker > Corona > Vortex > Alter Ego (Delay) > H.O.F > Nova Dynamics >>> Trace GP12XV preamp..

I'm not fortunately, but I do understand it. Also, I once lost out on a gig as I didn't have a Fender!
