1. Hi all I just wondered whether having the bass the same height standing as sitting goes for if you play with a pick as well? Many thanks
 2.
Rickenbacker necks are very strong, despite some horror stories which you might read online! Just make sure you get it set-up correctly, dual truss rods and all. I assume you'd be looking at a 4003 (post-1980..ish)? 4003's were designed for the more 'modern' higher-tension string. I wouldn't feel so good sticking that higher tension on a 4001, especially with age, etc.! Strong necks, yes, but 135-65 is quite chunky....and then there's the whole fretwear, or possibility of, issue.... The 4003's after (I think) mid-2010 have an even stronger 2-piece neck, which will take anything you throw at it! But you'll be pretty safe with whichever you go for in 4003 world.
Many thanks Spongebob. Yes it would be a brand new 4003 that I would be interested in. Cheers : )
 3. Hi all Within the next 2 years I would like to get a rick, always loved them ever since I first set eyes on them lol. I play doom / sludge and currently use two fender jazz basses. I just wondered whether anyone has any experience using ricks with heavy guage strings as my current string guage is 135 - 65. Do ricks play well with heavy guage strings ? Many thanks Adam
 4.
looks amazing, how would you say the matamp 4x10 sounds compared to the orange 4x10? i might sell my orange cabinets to get matamp ones.
After playing through it more tonight I have to say that it is an amazing cab! way more power and mids than the orange, an overall more refined tone.
 5.
It was th bass d.i. that i got modded not the gt200, Andrew said you can't mod the older gt200 but it's still the perfect head anyways
I agree, love mine
Hi Not really had a good session to test the 4x10 out since purchasing it but from the little go that I have had with it it seems to have more bottom end, power and punch. I really think that being non ported makes a big difference as well. How much did the mods to your gt200 cost if you don't mind me asking ? Pm me if you would rather discuss that way. Cheers
