I adore the massive, filthy, rhythmically mindbending groove that Jon Stockman (and Steve Judd) lay down in this track

Using my Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon to cover the song that sold a million Alpha Omega pedals

Would love to see your settings for this one.

  2. Compressing (geddit?) my board and this fantastic pedal is now superfluous and in need of a new home. Collection welcome and postage for another fiver.

Only trade I really need is a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 or similar (with cash my way), otherwise a sale is much preferred. Any questions, slide into my DMs 😏

This thread reminded me that i don’t actually have one either, at least not on my new KZ’s. My MEE’s do and i do use it, so i just ordered this. Not dirt cheap, but my cable is 3.5mm so the one i posted above wouldn't have worked.

This looks more like it, thanks! I’ll order a pair and see how I get on; one of the reviewers specifically mentions IEMs so that’s a good sign.

  4. Okay, so bear with me and the title gore but…

You know that clip on IEM cables where you can adjust how much/how tight the cable is behind your neck…what on earth is that called?

I ask because my in-ears (KS AZ10’s) don’t have one and they could really benefit from having one. Can I find one online? I cannot. Mainly because I don’t know the right thing to search for.

Any ideas? Or any ideas as to a DIY solution that isn’t completely awful (like the time I used electrical tape and it just peeled off from sweat)?

  5. The early gen Darkglass ADAM before they rebranded it to the Aggressively Distorted Advanced Machine. It’s a great all-in-one but the distortion circuit just isn’t for me, I’ve owned it for all of a week and it’s in great condition with original box, manual and a MIDI cable. The unit is running the latest firmware and I’ll restore the factory presets. Price includes postage or collection is also welcome. Would also consider a trade for an Alpha Omega Photon, as that distortion circuit will be closer to what I run already.

Its rated at 500ma and you're going to want to give it at least 400ma for it to function right (youll get away with that, dimmer leds etc), but no less.  The Voodoo can only manage 250ma which won't cut it I'm afraid, unless they do a current double cable and you can combine both of the 250ma outputs.

That’s what I thought. A double cable would’ve been an option if it wasn’t for the Line 6 wireless using one of those outputs already :(

  7. Price Drop: £320

Acquired this a few weeks ago and it very quickly dawned on me that it's just not for me and I'll never have any practical use for it. It's in mint condition, arrived with me brand new, still has plastic over the bridge and the only use it's seen is being briefly played at home.

Preferably for sale, bank transfer or PayPal, and while I have the shipping box, I don't have a case so I'm going to say collection only or meet/delivery in the Essex area.

Only trade I'd really consider is a lightweight, loud 2x10 or 2x12 cab, 8 or 4 ohms, but try your luck, you never know!

  8. Had my eye on one of these for years now, but either found them too hard to come by or out of my price range. And then one gets posted on an online guitar raffle site (I won’t post the name just so it doesn’t look like I’m promoting them but I’m happy to say which one by PM).

I’ve bought tickets for various draws over the past couple of months but never had any luck. Was all prepared to give up and then I go and win this bloody beauty! Absolutely over the moon with it, it’s beautiful and a dream to play and so light!

I just need to make the tricky decision to restring and set it up for either Drop A# or Drop C!

  9. Due to my stupidness when ordering, I ended up with two custom sets of strings from Newtone that I can't use or return; instead of measuring string length (ball to nut) I gave scale length so both sets are too short to be used on my 34" jazz basses. Both sets have been opened, the 130 set have been cut for 4 in a row, the 150 set didn't even get unwound.

Bit of a long shot trying to sell them on due to how heavy gauge they are, but might as well try.

    Set 1: 048, 064, 086, 130 (tapered).
    Set 2: 054, 076, 100, 150 (tapered).

Both sets are hex-wound, Nickel Plated Steel and from the Diamond Bass range.

£15 each, or both sets for £25.

  10. Have a spare one of these now as the cheapest way for me to get hold of a tour case for this board was just to buy another whole set.

So the board is brand new, still in its plastic wrapping (only taken out to inspect and photograph). The soft case has been used by me (sparingly) for the last year or so but is still in perfect condition, all zips working fine and no damage anywhere. Shoulder strap included of course.

Collection in Southend or nearby Essex preferred, but I do have the box the tour case came in if you want postage at cost.

These are ~£80 new so big saving for a brand new board and slightly used case :)
