1. For sale is my Roland D-Bass 115 330W Combo. In great condition, has hardly been used, never in anger. I've had it as a practice amp for a while but to be honestly it should probably be gigged. I'd reckon it'd suit most pub size venues.

Great sounding amp, extra details here . New these were £779, I'm looking for around £[s]350[/s] £310.[s] Local pickup only from Hampshire. [/s]Have organised that this could be sent attached to a pallet through my work which is considerably safer than through a normal courier service. Would cost around £20-30.

    Two links to pics here:

Hi Bassman! I believe the rule round here is that there must be a price, if only an estimate :)

    Nice basses!

Hey there, all you lefties. Sorry to cut in, and interrupt whatever is going on here! So I am a big Wal bass fan myself, from Copenhagen, and I just saw a Lefty black 5 string MK II 1988 bass for sale - it is in Malmø, that is in Sweden, just across the bridge from Copenhagen. I'll take no responsibility, and I have no affiliation with the seller, just felt that I had to tell someone about it :) . Here is the link: http://www.dba.dk/el...-5/id-77176531/

    As you were...

I used to own this- Very heavy and has a massively chunky baseball-bat-esque neck that I couldn't deal with.

But what a sound! Were it not for the ergonimics I'd probably still have it

PS: Whats the betting that we've all owned one same lefty at some time between the lot of us !!! White fretless jap jazz anyone ?
Fretless? With these fingers? No thank you!

  5. Just-a-nuts 1 and 3 are both great, however avoid just-a-nut 2s as they are made of plastic and the guiding rails snap off plus it has sharp corners. IMO a nut is a nut is a nut, but as far as good ones go, the JAN 3 is probably one of the best out there IMO

  6.
Played drums in god knows how many sh1t punk bands over the years, currently playing bass for baboon and evil blizzard at the ferret every now and then, hence needing to get some half decent gear!
Remember the name march, heavy stuff IIRC?
Yup that's the one :) Just spotted this, might be a good deal if you can get it within your budget. Depends what reserve he has on it I guess. Spectors are really good basses.

  7.
I automatically assumed this would be a bit sh1t because of the price tag - am I being a snob?!?
Well to be honest from what I hear Shine basses are perfectly decent. And at £80 you're not really risking mch if you turn out to not like it. It obviously won't be the best bass though :)
This look a good one, any good/bad stories of these?
Yamahas are good basses, although that is towards to lower end of their ranges. If it's brand new then that's probably a decent price for it. I've played the 4 string version of it and it was pretty punchy. Depends what kind of sound you're going for I guess!
I notice you're from Preston fella - so am I. Who do you play with? Cheers for all advice.
I used to play with a band called March- not too big but played the Ship a few times and Mad Ferret etc. Practiced in The Mill on Aqueduct Street. Good fun but I left in December because of my uni commitments. What about yourself?

  8.
Cheers all. I'm looking at spending £2-300 ideally, I don't play much so can't justify spending more unless there's a super bargain doing the rounds?
That's a pretty decent amount to be fair, you should get a good bass for that.

    Maybe this Yamaha LINK?

Anyone else want to weigh in?

  9.
Hi all, newby here. I'm after a five string bass, lefty, lower range of the price bracket please!

Anything about? Or any recommendations for models I should be looking at?

Please send a Pm if you have anything, and use a large font size - I'm a drummer...

    Cheers, ears.
Hi man, what do you mean by lower price bracket? It would be easier to give some suggestions that way. I would also highly recommend buying second hand due to the facts that you get more from your money plus you can generally sell it for what you bought it for if it turns out you don't like it- you just need to know what you're looking for. If you give us a figure I'm sure we could throw a few suggestions your way.

Here's a Shine 5 string on ebay, they're pretty decent for the money- link

  10.
Has anyone seen any pics of Throwoff's Stingray yet?
Did a little bit of snooping and found this post from December 2009 :)

I assume it's the same bass.

  11.
Hi guys, my wife and I are expecting our first child in July so I'm thinking of selling my nicest bass to raise some cash.

It's an '89 USA made G&L L2500 5 string, and an absolute beauty. Here's a link to the original owner's for sale post: linky

I'm in for a grand, and that's what I'd like back. Any interest?
The other post says its a '98? Nice looking bass btw :)
