1. I too have a TRB5II! Which is my pride and joy. A RBX374 too... I've never actually owned a passive bass so I fancied the bb414. Not sure what they're worth but seems cool to try and mod.
2. Yeah great guys. I had suspicions of it being a BB414 as it's passive. Ever used one? I was thinking of acquiring it for a project. I've recently had my modding juices heated. Thanks for all the input.
3. The owner says this is a yamaha n89... But that's something I've never heard of. Plus it looks more like some BB series. Some help would be great. Thanks, Ben.
4. Good evening, I am currently performing some overdue repair work to my acoustic bass, Crafter BA400eq/fl/n. The nut was cracks when I bought it and I lost the saddle at a point I can't remember. Basically I am at a loss on where to find the replacement parts. Nut - 44mm long Saddle ~ 70mm w/ 18mm spacing These are crudely measured and I'm unsure of standard sizes. So help from you guys would be great. Regards, Ben.
5. There is a huge crack on around the power input on the bottom chip board. When plugged in it sounds like an oscillator/theremin.
6. So my trusted and much loved Akai HEXACOMP lost a battle against a staffie today. I am in the market for a new compressor, but nothing seems right compared to it. I enjoyed the 6 adjustable bands and it seems alien to go to a fixed band multi compressor now. Any suggestions as to what I should do. Also I am skint. So saving might be in order if necessary. Please help, thanks. Ben.
7. Possibly the quickest sold amp head ever!
8. Bought a beautiful compressor for this guy. Buy with confidence!
9. Bought an immaculate Yamaha TRB5II from this guy. Perfect communication, speedy delivery! First class! Would do business again!
10. Just received this bass! It is in excellent condition, I can't believe it is supposed to be second hand. It plays like a dream, and it even had a battery in it! Junglerog is a great member! It has gone to a good home!
11. The FX loops is usually for time based effects: Delay, chorus, flange etc. Effects that don't alter the EQ. The FX loop comes after the pre amp, so anything that does affect the EQ: distortion, filters, compressors etc. should go before hand so that the amp's EQ can be changed to get your unique sound. Putting the time based effects in the FX loop can help keep your sound clean is you have a long signal chain as they are not affected by the EQ of the amp.
12.
Just wanted to share some pictures of my latest bass guitar. It's a Yamaha TRB fretless mk 1
This is a beautiful bass!
