Hi all sorry to post this as a link, having issues with pcs pic and photos. All the info is in the link thanks for looking ..

    Cheers Dave

  2. The Rigger in Newcastle under Lyme on Friday, local one for us with two other corking local acts. Very happy as the place was quite busy and my svt pro had its first run out since repair and worked a treat, went down well and we not rehearsed between this gig and the last so was a real buzz..

  3. As long as you are happy and love doing what you do, everything else is irrelevant and it will show. The amount of amazing bands musically I've seen who bore me with little or no stage presence. Nodding there heads when wrong notes are played etc, to me perfection comes at a cost at times.

I've had a philosophy on gigs and the band I'm in, if anyone makes a mistake, laugh, take the piss enjoy it even more.

I make sure I play each gig like its my last and enjoy the hell out of it.

I use a USB powered mini desk, probably the best option if you want to use it with a Windows laptop or tablet, it's one of these:

Had some cheap Sennheisers but recently picked up a pair of bluetooth heapdhones from Aldi (with 3.5mm jack aux in) which actually go a fair bit deeper and sound clearer. The main advantage for me is cutting down on cables, The desk uses just a single USB cable for power and also uses this as a line in. I have a bluetooth adapter on the way from China to cut out another cable too so eventually it will be a single guitar lead and a short USB cable. I hate cables but want the flexibility of a desk so I can quickly boost or cut volume levels or low end on seprate channels.

It also functions as an audio interface, has a switchable aux in on channel 2 (with seperate 2 band eq like chanel 1) and works with my Windows tablet. Before this I used a small desk but that had a bulky power brick and required a seperate aux in cable so wasn't as neat. I also had a Korg Pandora PX3B which was very portable but sounded lifeless to me, handy little thing though.

Thanks for this, I'm snapping one up on payday

Looks good, I'll have to check it out.

I'd not heard of your band Daveo but I'm following them on Facebook now as you're local, hope to catch a gig soon

Thanks man, I think we we will be back at the Rigger soon, so hopefully can catch you then ;)

  6. Great gig at a new venue in Stafford, The Cellar Bar a cracking venue and much needed in the area. It was pretty packed out and the crowd were fantastic, possibly the best gig I've every done in performance and atmosphere. This was on Saturday and I'm only just recovering...

  7. I have a beer, just one,I relax and talk about anything,if it's a multiple band gig I stand at the front and support the other bands. I enjoy each gig as if it's my last, life is to short not to, worrying if it all will go wrong won't help at all. Think of how much you have practiced and enjoy it !!!!
