1. I am selling some gear that I no longer use regularly

This Vox amp is in excellent condition with just one tiny nick on the side.

The great thing about this amp is that it can be used in 4watt, 1watt or 1/4 watt mode. In it's lowest setting you can use the volume control to get a great overdrive at 'neighbour friendly' level.

    Here's the details..

There are plenty of reviews and demos on YouTube

The amp can be collected from the Southampton area or I can deliver within a reasonable distance.

  2. Hi

I am selling some gear that I no longer use regularly.

This amp is in excellent condition, with just a couple of marks which in no way affect the operation.

The amp can be collected from the Southampton area. I really don't know what the postage charges would be, but I'm happy to deliver within a reasonable distance.

  3. I am continuing to sell items I no longer use regularly.

This TC Helicon unit is a vocal processor that simply 'doubles' your voice when performing.

It can really go overboard with the effects, but I use it in a subtle way that is hardly noticeable but really does thicken your voice.

I want £40 for this unit which is in excellent condition. It comes with original mains supply, instructions and box. It can be collected from the Southampton area and I would guess that postage is around £6.

The only reason for selling is that I have bought a flashy new vocal and guitar effects pedal and this is now redundant.

    Hi

I am continuing a clear out of gear that I no longer use regularly

This Vox unit really is the business. It has way too many features to list here, but I have found a review which sums it up quite well...

    http://www.musicrada...onelab-le-26438

The main thing I like about this unit is that it's easy to use. There are knobs-a-plenty here, no scrolling through endless menus to get what you want.

All the effects you need, plus amp modelling in one unit. It comes with the original mains supply and full instructions.

I want £95 for this unit which is in exceptional condition, just one small scratch on the rear which in no way affects the operation.

It can be collected from the Southampton area or I could deliver within a reasonable distance.

  5. I bought this bass a year or so ago but having tried to learn play it, I realise that it's not for me.

So I'm offering it to the forum.

The bass is in 'as new' condition, no marks anywhere and it comes with a stand (pictured) and soft cover.

    Full details are here... www.kkbaby-bass.com

I'm not qualified to give a real opinion, but a semi pro player tried it out and was impressed.

It can't even begin to think how to package it, so collection from Southampton is preferred.

If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

  6. Delving into my music cupboard, I have found my TC Helicon VoiceSolo VSM 300. I have used it at home with my acoustic guitar and only once in a band situation.

Here's a couple of links to help...

    www.jrrshop.com/tc-helicon-vsm-300-xt-active

    www.gak.co.uk/en/tc-helicon-voicesolo-vsm-300xt/19825

Mine is not the XT version, but I'm really not sure what or if there is any difference..

It is a great piece of gear for sitting at home and practising vocals, without having to set up a PA. It is very light and can be used on a mic stand or on the floor but also loud enough to use in a band situation. I see more and more singers using these type of nearfield monitors, rather than the traditional floor wedges. For good reason...!

I have used it with a vocal processor just to experiment and I also used it as a mini PA in a room that was just a bit too big to perform purely acoustically.

It's in 'as new' condition having been taken out of the house only twice.

I'm only selling it as I have a new PA arriving soon and I won't need monitors.

I will sell for £95 plus postage which I estimate to be around £15. Or you can collect from the Winchester area if convenient.

I'm not looking for any trades as I'm trying to slim down my gear collection...

If you have any questions, please ask...

  7. Whynot
Strangely enough, there was a guy setting up the LD Maui 28 as I was leaving the demo yesterday. I didn't get chance to hear it, but I'm going back on Monday for a longer look at the L1 system, so I hope to do a comparison.

    Dark Lord
Great to hear you took the L1. I spoke to Andy at Nevada who seemed to understand the Bose and was very helpful. I'm leaning towards the Model II with the Tonematch myself. You got it at a good price....

Let me know how you progress

    Graham

  8. I had a demo of these units yesterday and was very impressed. I don't envisage me using it in a full band situation, so I just played around with vocals and acoustic guitar. It's eye wateringly expensive, but when you consider that I won't need monitors, FX units and a mile of cables to set it up, it seems a bit lighter on the wallet as well as the back. It's also incredibly quick to set up.

The B2 sub seemed the way to go and I was given a good price for the L1 model 2 with the Tonematch T1, so I might just go for it. None of the systems worked well without a sub.

    Graham

  9. If you find someone using one, please let me know.

What differences did you hear between the L1S and the Model II?

There's a big price hike up to the the Model II.. I'll be interested to hear both systems without a sub, as if they are suitable alone for just vocals and acoustic guitar, it would enable me to buy the Tonematch T1.

    Graham

  10. Thanks

Could you let me know how you get on there and which systems they can demo, I'd like to get down there this week.

I first heard this system being used in a bar in Spain a few months back. As soon as I walked in I was really impressed with the sound of the guy doing a solo gig with keyboard and vocals. Their big selling point is the distribution of an even sound across the room and that's exactly what was happening. I did an acoustic solo spot myself using his rig with my guitar and not having to use monitors really appealed to me.

I worked as a sound engineer around 15-20 years ago and would have killed to get a gig to sound as good as that. Things have moved on in every department since then I know, but I still haven't heard anything quite like it.

I would agree that it's not really suitable for a full band, putting every instrument through it FoH and for monitor use, but I've read many reports of people doing just that.

    Cheers

    Graham

  11. I'm selling my beloved Traynor YGM-3 valve amp which I bought from the original owner around 1995. It's dated from June 1972 and apart from a small socket added on the back to take a volume pedal, it's all original.

It's in excellent condition and has never been out the house since I bought it. The original owner only ever played at home as well.

It has a 12" speaker and I think is rated at around 20 watt. It has volume, bass and treble controls as well as a spring reverb and tremolo. The photo is not my amp but it's identical. I can't post photo's at the moment although I can send some by text if you would like some.

You can find a short review here...

    http://www.guitarjar...or-ygm3-review/

I want the amp to go to a good home so I'm asking £190. It's too heavy to post so collection only, although I could deliver if you're close to Southampton. The only reason for selling is because I'm moving to France and can't really take it with me.
