1.
top top top seller
Thx Pete! I'm glad you're happy with my old Sting Ray
2.
Great video! Unfortunately can't afford to make you an offer, but just to say great playing :-)
Thanks Matt, that's very kind of you
3. Hi everybody, I ordered the bass in April 2013 and I got it brand new in November 2013 because I needed a bass with vintage vibe for a musical project I was working on. Unfortunately that project came to a fail in the first days of 2014, so I decided to sell the bass cause I don't need it anymore. It's been played live in 3 gigs and 2 months of reharsals so I'd say is in excellent condition. I call it PallaDingo 'cause it's fiesta red with tortoise shell pickguard (£ 45 option).; Other specs: alder body, morado fb and Hipshot X-tender on E string (£ 85), straplocks, Dingwall original gigbag and full set of adjustment wrenches. Price Drop 1700£ (2090 €) Here's the link to a video I recorded with the PallaDingo:
4.
Is the bass still available?
Sorry for this late reply : I've been out of the world for a while Yes, the bass is still available
5. Hey Kees, the world's getting smaller and smaller: nice to meet you here too Alessio
6. New pictures added. Chips, lacquer cracks and dings:
7. Here's for sale the last of my "straight" basses, for I fell in love with my Dingwall Sklar and it came natural playing only and always that one (and a Dingwall Super P has just been ordered)! This is a 1979 Fender Jazz Bass (serial S885.... could be '78 but pots and P/U stamped early '79 ). I got it from a trade more than a year ago; at the time I owned a '66 Dots& Bindings JB but, when this neglected '79 came home, I found I liked its voice more than the old '66, which soon I decided to sell (call me crazy, but that's the truth)! I'll immediately tell you about the negative things: - 1 pot not original; - 1 neck screw not original; - no OHSC; - body lacquer finish no longer shiny, probably due to cleaning with aggressive products by previous owner; - heavy weight (I'll be more precise, but very likely over 5 kg). Here are some pictures: But I think there are positive things too: - the bass is a great player and slapper (but don't ask me slap samples 'cause I'm a goat); - great variety of tones, full and rich voice. - perfectly working "electronics". - perfect neck, straight as an arrow and with very low action; - since it's not a collector item, you won't be afraid to take it out for gigs and really play it; - at almost the price of an american reissue, you get a better sounding bass that probably won't loose its value in the future. I'm afraid this is the only vid I recorded with the bass: Requested Price: 1.250 £ (or 1.450 €) - Free Shipping in Europe (Ritter Gig Bag). If suitable, I can also provide a good selection of new strings at very reasonble price (DR, the best for this bass IMHO, Fodera and Elixir): I will use them nomore with my Dingwall basses... No trade, please. Feel free to contact me for everything! Alessio
8.
Don't do it !!
Why shouldn't I? There's a few reasons: the main is I'm not playing fretless anymore (well, I'm not playing so much in general) so it's free to go wherever it can be apreciated more :-)
9. Sunday morning bump and price drop. Now at 1.800 £ (or 2.100 €)
10. Bump Price down to 1.850 £ Some years ago people - me included - would have killed for this bass... Nowadays nobody's interested: it's the crisis, baby
11. Price Drop. Follwing a more careful analysis of market conditions, the Price is now £1.900 (€ 2.200).
12.
All the best with it my friend ;-)
Thanks Bobby, all the best with everything!
13. I bought the bass two years ago from basschat user fretless bob (you can ask him for reference) and the bass you see in PIno's hands is right the one I'm selling. The fretboard has been replaced by Martin Petersen - Bass Gallery, the high-pot doesn't work with regular progressiveness (maybe it's only a matter of cleaning but I did never feel the urge to do it because the bass sounds gorgeously just in a flat high mode and adjusting the low end as needed); no OHSC. Out of that, the bass is not a collection item but a real player with some chips and dings and, most of all, the great sound you would expect .
