1. Hi there,

I'm selling my pristine condition 3leaf Groove Refulator as I'm not using it right now - I seem to be in a 'straight bass sound' frame of mind at present.

I was looking for past sales of these units and saw that Phil.I.stein sold his at the end of February. He originally posted his for £125, then reduced it to £110, then down to a crazy price of £105 delivered in the UK.

Anyone who knows me will be aware that I'd prefer my equipment was being used rather than it sitting gathering dust at home. (that probably explains why so many friends have my stuff at their place? Hahaha).

So, I'll match "phil's" price of £105 delivered in the UK. I'm at work right now, but I'll post pics of the unit in a couple of hours.

The unit itself is unmarked, as is the box, hessian bag and info sheet.

There's a cool clip on bass player tv of Jonathan Herrera demonstrating the unit's unique "pulse" function where you can trigger the filter from an external source such as a drum machine to get the bass sound pulsing at the same beat as the rhythm source - very cool!

If anyone is interested, drop me a message.

Kevin

2. I sent my pink Nordy VJ5 to Belgium via interparcel.

I just looked on the site. To send the cab to Belgium in around 3 days would cost under £37.00 using the FedEx economy delivery service.

3. I needed a '74 fender bridge for my '74 which I was restoring to it 's original spec.

I was given a totally pristine condition one by Mo Foster to use. It 's nice when people do something based solely on generosity, huh?

Saying that, it doesn't help you out in your own search, huh?

4. As well ascend usual Allen keys, screwdrivers etc, I always take the following to any gigs I do:

Towel
Liquid soap

The reason? To remove the grime from my fingers amassed during gear set up on stage. Some of the folks I played with kind of thought it was strange, but when they too went on stage with clean hands, every one said they felt better when playing.

Or maybe myself and the folks I play with are just wierdos? Hahaha

5. My main gigging bass right now is my stack knob '62 USA Jazz Bass, and the usual backup is my 1974 Fender Jazz bass (actually the actual very first bass guitar I ever played. I inherited it after the owner, my friend Jimmy Davidson, passed away in February 2010).

Unfortunately, I can't use it on my own gigs right now as my friend Paul Turner has it at his place.

So, my 'other' bass on gigs right now is a '62 reissue USA Fender P-Bass.

Saying that, I'm sure most of us would agree that we use only a single instrument for the vast majority of gigs. I've been playing bass for over 30 years and have never had any of my basses fault on me during a gig. I've had a few amp hiccups, but never bass ones.

6. Sold Alan an Accugroove Tri210L and, as agreed, I received the cash very soon after the cab had been delivered to him.

Also just received an Aguilar GS112 in part trade in immaculate condition, still in it's original packaging!!!

Really nice guy (I suppose I should have known that from his Basschat name? Hahaha), and a pleasure to deal with.

7. Hey Mike, hasn't John just got the one new Sei Bass? Martin and John made the 'grey one' after John commissioned it in December when I was down visiting them. The other 5 stringer being the one he used while recording with Mark Ronson.
John wanted to buy that one originally, but the guy who's bass it was wanted to keep it, hence the reason JT was put in touch with the guys at The Gallery to order one for himself.

8. Yippee! It'll be a laugh trying to get it into the boot of my convertible Peugeot 307! Hahaha

Saying that, getting my double bass into the car has me dropping the roof, inserting the bass and closing the lid up like a huge gift box! Hahaha

9. To the original poster, mate, you sound like a real knob!

I pop into the forum every now and then, and everything I have advertised for sale has been snapped up quickly. Some have actually been sold within 15 minutes!! I've also bought numerous items too.

Maybe the reason no one bought your stuff is due to it being of little or no interest to the browsers? Or maybe it wasn't priced to sell?

Or maybe your attitude turned people off?

Just saying matey...........

10. Hi guys, I'm downsizing my rig and have my Accugroove Tri210L for sale.

This cab has never been out of my house since I bought it, so it's completely scuff free.

I'll get some pics posted in a couple of hours when I get home.

I'm looking for £450 delivered overnight in the UK. The cab cost me £960 when I bought it.

I've decided to go for two Aguilar GS112 cabs hence the Accugroove being put up for sale.
