Fender will find it difficult to help as they don't list parts for the pots separately. The part number 770019100 is for the PCB and the pots.  That's the HH version.....

You will probably be better off sourcing the complete PCB - there was one on eBay just the other week. I have two Dimension Vs and keep an eye out for parts as Fender really struggle for supply of some of the more unique items.

I didn’t even consider this... thank you so much for that link.

One detail that you have not mentioned, is the pot log (A) or lin (B)?

If you do not succeed on this mission there are at least 4 possible ways out of the situation (probably more that I am not aware of).  In order of ease IMO:

    1. Is a split shaft version available.  Screw on knob will work on split shaft.  You can always file a flat onto the split shaft if you want.

    2. Non PCB mount pots of your desired size are available.   Use flying leads to the pcb board and solder these to the pot.  The tags on the pot can be bent / moved / cut down as required.

3  Re-use the three pcb mount legs (solder pins) on the 'duff' pot.  leave them soldered into the pcb, snip them through.  Use a non pcb pot, adjust the solder tags so they make good physical contact with previous pcb pins.  Solder them up. You might want to make a temporary jig to hold the pots in the correct vertical plane so that it is soldered at correct height.

    4.  The difficult one (which I have done in desperation).  Obtain two pots, same make with the pressed folded tabs holding them together (CTS).  One with the correct 100K value, centre detent etc.  The other one values do not matter but must be the right angle pcb mount.  Dismantle the two pots and transfer the correct internals to the pcb mount, reassemble.

Apologies, the pots are marked B100K and thank you for your suggestions!

  3. I am desperate... I have spent hours searching, I've spoken to Fender and I've still gotten nowhere.

My Fender Dimension V Deluxe bass needs new pots for the pre. I need the following and I cannot find it anywhere whether its in the UK, Europe or US.

PCB mount right angle 100k centre detent solid shaft potentiometer

Please if you know where I can source this, I will be forever grateful...

This is what they look like.

    Many thanks in advance,

  4. You may be sick of having a response like this but honestly if you want something cost effective, easily changeable and robust I'd go down the octaver and dirt route. Yes it isn't as cool as a synth and if you are replicating specific sounds it mightn't work but if you're after something to generally sound like that then this might work.

I'm using an MXR Bass Octave Deluxe as it has the best analog tracking (the EBS sounds considerably better IMO but just doesnt cut it tracking wise for me). and an EBS Multidrive at the moment for my dirt / synth sounds.

Works a treat and allows me to swap out octavers and drives when I like to suit my tastes.

    Hope that helps.

  5. EBS Multicomp - for parts / repair £17.50

Long story short... as a result of frustration and a shoddy soldering iron the contact pads for the DC power jack have been removed after I attempted to replace the power jack. This now means the pedal won't take power from either battery or PSU and I don't fancy trying to fix it anymore.

This pedal was fully working before the fix and if anyone takes it on as a project then I think you can repair this by scratching the PCB and jumping the lines to the jack legs... the power jack is brand new.

You'll notice the blobs of solder as there are no copper contacts for the solder to join onto.

  7. I second the idea of the Zoom B3n, fantastic place to start. When I was in your position quite some time ago I opted for a boss me25b and it was a great decision in terms of quenching the effects thirst and actually providing me with some versatility. Absolutely go for the B3n it will serve you really well.

SFX Custom Shop Dual Fuzz and Distortion - £85 inc postage SOLD

This is a super unique pedal I acquired from Basschat some time ago. The fuzz and distortion can be activated separately and stacked.

The fuzz has a 3 position mid switch and when cranked can either fulfil a fairly nice Muse sound to a thick juicy fuzz which is soo nice. The distortion has a 2 position selector switch for clipping, one way is a strong blend of clean signal and the other is a pure drive sound (think Michael League intro on Taizo by Forq). It is a unique pedal and I loved it but unfortunately it is surplus to requirements and must go!

SFX speaks for itself in terms of quality on this forum so rest assured you're getting a quality pedal for not a lot of money.

Saw them Tuesday night in Dublin,

I was standing directly in front of the stage,

    I loved his tone,
It had a percussive punch that the jazz doesn't have,
    More mids coming through too,
Bass sounded extremely articulate especially on fast passages,
    You could hear every note!

friends who were in the balconies were very dissapointed with the FOH sound,

The venue is an old theatre,

I was impressed with his sound.

Likewise, I was front and centre (just over to the right a little facing Joe). His tone was on point, sounded great, almost preferable over the jazz tone... nice to see him going back to his bass roots. Curious if the new album will feature it at all?
