1. Had a play of a couple of these when I was looking for a bass, fantastic quality and a great feel for the money. Good colour too

6. Just interested in having a play around really
7. I've got a jazz bass copy that I'm playing around with at the moment. I'm interested in swapping the pots and cap, or even adding a pre-amp. What would people recommend? This is just something that I'm messing around with at the moment
8. Isn't it just another Explorer copy?
9. Thanks discreet, that'll give me something to think about
10. Think you misunderstood what I was looking for, it was the scale positions on the entire fretboard with notes written on. For me this is great as I can transfer what I know already and just think ah!, that's where the 5th is, or I can drop a blues note in there etc. I found this a nice way to to see the 5 positions of the scale and the notes in the scale and you can work on stuff with out having the bass to noodle about on. Maybe this was the wrong place to ask.
11. I just came across this here http://playbassnow.com/wp-content/uploads/BoxCpenta.jpg Does anyone know where I can find a series of these that relate to more scales - modes etc?
12. Had a Japanese P Bass from the early 80's that was very good, then got a Korean Jazz Bass from 87-88 that was better, probably the same parts to be honest. I think it was made by Young Chang "E1 + 6 digits with silver serial = made by Young Chang in 1987-88. I later found out that Young Chang used to make guitars for Fender Japan. When Fender quit making in Japan Young Chang started his own company and initially made stuff for Squier. I think he also made his own copies and Fender sacked him. Great basses, if you can find one.
13. Thanks well I'll keep my eye out for something second hand, I'm sure something will turn up, it usually does. When I lived in a city there was loads of choice, but out here in West Wales, well there's just not the population.
14. This is my first post here. I've been away from paling bass for a long time and I've just started again after borrowing a friends bass. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences of the Bass Centre's Jive Bass? http://www.basscentre.com/bass-collection.html I've seen a few good reviews, but wondered if anyone had one or played one?
