1. I've never had the chance to play anything but 35" 5 strings. Thanks for your reply
2. Damn, been wanting one of these for a LONG time. I can offer my one bass which is a Dean Sledgehammer 5 with an EMG MMCS5 installed. Ash body/maple neck.
3. I'm interested in these basses...unusual body material with the poplar. I'm after a studio bass that does pretty much outright metal. Nice clank, not muddy in the low mids but with plenty of useable bottom end. Just curious if these basses are of "that" kind of tonality? I also fear about the tightness of the low B with the 34" scale... Looks killer however!
4. Up for sale is my Dean Sledgehammer 5 string bass with a EMG MMCS5 which has been installed professionally. Overall excellent condition and comes with a fresh pack of steel strings installed. There is a small scratch on the black headstock from a string change that's not very noticeable and could be hidden with some black marker or the likes if necessary. On the bridge there is a tiny piece of metal thread that has come off so one of the bolts that holds the bridge piece in place (for that string) wont sit in securely. I still have the bolt and the missing thread but it really makes no difference to the playability. If you really wanted to you could have the bridge replaced without issue...or even fix it yourself if your handy with bridges (which im not) Besides the above issue this bass is in absolutely top condition and only ever used in my home studio. Asking for £400.
