Back on topic for the OP, there is a download called 'Honey' (ironic?) which claims to seek out discount codes. I've never got one except on Euro car parts and they have big discounts anyway but it may be worth trying, or as said earlier, ask if PMT will price match?

Here's an idea for a fret leveling beam, not tired it myself (no space for saw tables in my shed !), but might be worth a try.
+1 and there are lots of 'hacks' on here and YT for things like nut slot files. Indeed, there was a very robust exchange this week on the very subject.....!

This is actually where you say "I'm sorry I did not mean to cause offence' and you take a long hard look at what you consider funny/wonder why there are so few women on Basschat....🤔

I've told this story before but Brad Paisley who is a big Americana/Country star wanted a Pink Paisley Tele. He got CMI (Chicago Music Instruments) to source him an old battered painted black Tele and being a big star it sat in his guitar room for a few months when he was on Tour. On return he then gave it to his Luthier to convert which was going to be a big and involved job. Luthier looked at the finish and realised it was not original Black so did a test strip which revealed an original PInk Paisley finish below. Still took a lot of work to reveal it but many of the Pink Paisley guitars were overpainted when 'Hippies' fell out of fashion in the 80's.
Some Americans think the Paisley pattern Guitars and Basses are a reference to Brad, but we ( and especially the Scots), know better!
I'm here all week.....

Where's the tinned sweetcorn gone?

Its titled 'Repro Fender Jazz Bass'. That should be enough to indicate to prospective buyers it is a copy? Unless the 'Repro' is an edit?

What is called a 'players' bass: changes make it better and easier to play but at a cost to its originality.

Indeed. There’s an interesting interview with Steve Cropper in the current issue of Mojo. He says ‘(Booker) ..wasn’t able to get along with Lewie Steinberg very well.’ Sounds like there’s an intriguing back-story there!
Yes, that's where I read it too.

Fun Fact: Donald was not the original bassist with the MG's , that was Louie Steinberg who played on Green Onions, their first hit.

So the Osmonds, Partridge Family, Lighthouse Family, Brother Beyond, The Corrs, The Neville Brothers and The Jacksons are fine?

You see here we go with the utter cow poop again.
If I was a white farmer in South Africa I would run the risk of being murdered in my bed every night just for the colour of my skin, as many have been, and are being on a daily basis.
Where were the mass protests when the Chinese were committing genocide in Tibet. Or when the British and Americans were doing it all across the middle east. Maybe yellow or brown is the wrong shade of black?
It's a problem specific to a certain area and a certain group of people. I don't want to hear your protestations of racism because some white cop in Bumflip USA is a racist. It's nothing to do with me. It's not a crime I am guilty of because of the pigmentation of my skin, and to claim I have "Male white privilege" as many would say, is I itself a sexist and racist comment, showing the hypocrisy of the current "side with me or you're the problem" mentality.
I don't want to side with you. I don't want to side with anyone. You want to shout and scream and pull over statues. Go right ahead. You want me to care? That's beyond your remit.
You need to read some history books. I could take to pieces every one of your examples but got better things to do. Not condoning murder but has it occured to your insular little brain why white farmers might be at risk in a country in which they are not the the home population? Try reading up about slavery and white supremacy......
I do care that you have such a one dimensional view of the world and are so dismissive of social justice, if I can use an example that you may understand, do you only play your Bass in G?

And what about the current world, in which the minorities are shouting so loud, the majority can not be heard?
Have you considered why 'the minorities' are shouting so loud? I bet when you get stopped by the Police in Bulgaria you do not run the risk of being killed because of the colour of your skin?

Yes, it's nuanced, but it's going to get to the point soon where I'll not be able to take the mick out of Mackems. And we can't have that.
No, that's a totally different set of crtieria only available to those who live either North of the Tyne or on the banks of it and involves worshipping the Gods of pease pudding, stotty cakes and brown ale. ( all lazy regional stereotypes)!

Because along the way people become more entrenched and divided when people try and police they way others think and tar entire groups of people with the same brush.
I long for the days when we could poke fun at each other and laugh, poke back and take things as intended or just have the ability to not find things funny without having to say one is offended. Actually I think that’s still pretty much how the world is except a vocal minority who aren’t doing their cause any favours.
Don't disagree with the sentiment but often phrases are used which can be offensive without one being aware of how they came into everyday useage.
