If any of you bassplayers out there considering a Hybrid amp , then try to grab a Hughes&Kettner Quantum amp. I tried one years ago. A friend of me had one (now it's sold). Sounds incredible. Think they don't make it anymore.
But of course , there are many good Hybrid amps on the marked.

As long as both are expensive , I'II buy !!! A "weakness" many bassplayers suffer from , haha.....

I'm a "Metalman" , and to me , nothing is like Ampeg SVT Classic on "bonecrusher" volume. But , when that being said: My Gallien Krueger 1001 RB II sounds amazing with my Aguilar cabs. Also on high volume.

For some years ago , I tried a Epifani rig in England . I was totally amazed about the sound . Thick and fat . But that was then. I'm from Norway , and there are no Epi dealers up here !!!! Bloody shame.

I had one back in the eighties ! It mas a black "metalshaped" beast called Westone Raider II . Sold it in 92' or 93' . One of many things I regret !

Never tried MarkBass amps at all ! I have two ampeg 8x10 cabs.(I'm only use one of them at the time). If I get the chance , I'd like to try an all tube MarkBass amp for my ampegcabs. When that being said: My alltube ampeg amp is THOUNDEROUS !

[/quote]some years ago I bought a graphic EQ pedal from Behringer. Well : I won't do it again . Simply a box of cheapest crap ever. I also owned a pair of 6" studiomonitores from Behringer. With average use (1-2 hours a day , and not loud), they broke within a year. No more Behringer for me.

Hello and Happy New Year bassplayers everywhere ! I'm a norwegian bassplayer , playing in several bands. From melodic Death Metal , Heavy Metal and Jazz . I play 4 ,5 and 6 string basses.
My main (for metalgigs) rig is Ampeg SVT 300 amp with 8x10 cab. My other amp is a Gallien Krueger 1001 RB II , with a Gallien Krueger 2x10 and 1x15 Ashdown cabs. My basses are Fender standard jazz 4 string, A lovely bass to play. My 6 string is a Ibanez BTB necktrough with Bartolini mics. Outstanding instrument strung with Thomastik Infeldt Flatwound Jazzstrings. But my main axe is a 91' Warwick Thumb 5 , necktrough. This is of course a world class instrument . He's equipped with DR strings . This boy is NOT for sale !!!!(My wife goes before the Warwick). I use no effects with my Ampeg rig , but with GK rig , I sometimes use a Markbass Distorsore and a Electro Harmonix "Soul Preacher" compressor. Both very good pedals. Markbass delievers first class stuff anyway.
