yeah if i had a roadie i would have a big amp, i like to feel the breeze of the bass around my ankles.

is it the router hump on the lower cutaway?

I feel your pain,I bought a fernandes revival bass from a reverb seller in italy.
I think it is a 1981 model and it arrived looking in really good shape
but It also had neck issues, similar to the ones you described and the truss rod was tight
I ended up using the washer trick and that got it straighter and to complete I clamped the neck straight and manage to get some more movement on the truss rod and now its got a nice low action and plays great
was a learning curve but I really wanted to keep the bass as the neck is really nice and comfortable for me
hope yours turns out to be ok.

my 1979 Ibanez roadster is 5.5kg 12lb odd, i like it as it reminds me of my 77 precision i had
not sure if its the weight or the natural finish that reminds me of it though -
i have the maple versiomn of this weighs a ton but the tone is unmistakeable, good enough for phil lynott, check out rockpalast gig same bass as yours.

I use a silver series p bass as my main gigging bass, nice lightweight and sounds great.

I saw that and thought it was an encore, they have changed the string tree and neck plate, still has the original machineheads though.
-
really shocked to hear this, great voice and talent, will be sadly missed.

I saw that, I dont know lots of laquer cracking and an extra string tree.
