1. Due to financial reasons combined with giving up music as a full time pursuit I am very sadly selling this wonderful bass bought here on this very forum. It truly is epic and must be seen to be believed. I've priced it to sell however i am open to sensible offers. Pics below Message me on here or call 07817905739 <- this is better as I'm not on the forum much No shipping, pick up from London (cash). I'm based in E1, however I have family in Southend Essex so perhaps could arrange pick up from there with enough notice.
2. Hey guys, Seeing as I played my first show with them Friday seems like a good time to link my new band. We call it progressive prog and have been told it sounds like Muse being fronted by Tori Amos which is no bad thing Tracks here recorded with the bands old bass player http://deathintexas.bandcamp.com/ Comments always appreciated Cheers CV
3. Inspired by another thread on here I had a go at Runaway by Jamiroquai - nearly nailed it. Good fun to play
4.
Good luck with your gig
Cheers Bud, hadn't seen this response. I'm sure it'll be sweet we are super rehearsed so just got make sure I don't drink too much
5. Hey man, I am in Essex, UK. I've updated my location now as that would clearly be helpful. However looks like a deal has been made. Hopefully confirmed today. Cheers
6. Hey Guys, Just a quick one, my new band Death in Texas ( http://deathintexas.bandcamp.com/ ) are playing at the Bowery (http://www.thebowerylondon.co.uk/) on New Oxford Street London on Friday 25th November which will also mark my first show with the band. If anyone is about who fancies it then come on down. Cheers
7. Hey Guys, My band Death in Texas ( http://deathintexas.bandcamp.com/ ) are looking for shows outside of London and would be happy to help arrange London shows in return. We're still new on the scene so we are not talking big shows with great crowds yet but we have been getting decent crowds and will be able to get you on at some cool venues. We are looking for bands at the rockier end of the spectrum but we would be quite as happy playing with more pop or jazz based bands also. If any other guys / bands want to hijack this with their own bands looking for shows outside their hometown then feel free and hopefully we might be able to setup some cool shows. Cheers
8. Mr Bungle / Faith No More. RHCP and Mr Bungle had big funky beef back in the day
9. Aha I see what you did! Very good
10. Hey Guys, I have a Jet black 2004 Rickenbacker 4 string that I am looking to trade. Its a great bass but I am looking for something with a "smoother" sound. The Ricky does growly thunderous rock and metal bass very well. The bass comes with both the standard white faceplate and also has a custom black one. I think the chap I bought it off actually got it from this very site. I will get some photo's up asap. I am looking for a 4 string. Something in the region of a Spector or a Warick. I can see forum rules dictate I apply a price so I think £1200 is a good starting point but I am open to sensible discussions. Feel free to PM me for more info. Edit: a quick search revealed the original listing for this: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1076577 I hope its not considered too cheeky to nick this for decent photo's as I only have a camera phone
11. Hey Basschatters, I'll keep this pretty short, 29 year old bass player, always played metal until 8 weeks ago when i joined a kinda jazzy/proggy/pop act (think muse crossed with tori amos). I am mainly here on the recommendation of a friend as i'm looking to trade a Rickenbacker 4003 for something less rough and more suited to the varying styles i'm now playing. I've played the bass for years, self taught (read not as good as he should be) and I will going back to school next year to "learn" to play the instrument I have already been playing over a decade. Scary times. Aside from that I enjoy long walks on the beach and a good book book in front of the fire. Peace Cerb
