Some photos now on the appropriate thread in Live Photos and Videos. I'm working on some from Cherry White's set as we speak
-
Dani, Damian and Happy Jack at the Troubadour, yesterday.

First shot of set:
-
I think people like you guys are pretty close to being ambidextrous, which is rather good
-
Another KK BabyBass outing for Happy Jack with singer-songwriter Kareña K tomorrow. Not our usual side of London - come along if you're around
-
Great news - we want to see the photos!
I'll tweet this in the meantime -

this doesn't sound bollocks to me, because as a lefty this exactly is the reason why I did it after trying both ways when I started in 1982. I never looked back.

And you're not the only one either. I think there are different degrees and/or types of left-handedness. I can hardly pick a righty guitar up, let alone attempt to play it... -
Here is where having started after I hit 40 helped
Lots of lefty instruments around now, from eye-wateringly expensive to dirt-cheap, and mine was a 24-fret, lefty Crafter bass bought in a combo with a practice amp. I got along with it very well, until the electronics began to misbehave, so I got a Warwick RB Corvette 4, and discovered that the Crafter's neck was waay chunkier that the Corvettes. Never looked back since, I absolutely love Warwicks. I still have the Crafter.

Careful with the ole' blood, Mike!
Left-handed, female, bass player. I tick all the wrong boxes.
I write with my right hand (not my mum and dad's fault, though - they've always been very supportive, but it was too late when they realised I had been taught the wrong way).
I have had leftism and sexism thrown at me on many occasions. "Shopping for the boyfriend", "You know, guitars are used this way [righty], not that way [lefty upside-down], let me show you" "You take that long cable with two tips and stick one of them here, see, in the bass, and the other here, see, INPUT", and famously, by an ex-bf's bandmate "Women should either sing or stay backstage ready for the afterparty".
I could go on. However, getting mightily p*ssed off is not the answer IMO. Ignoring the "-isms", charging on regardless towards whatever result you want to achieve, whilst showing no intention to be intimidated, and at the same time being extremely polite throughout, always ends up getting them to blush at their idiocy and finally become helpful. -
An excellent evening indeed, and around a billion photos and videos to follow
-
Indeedy! It's tonight, folks
-
This whole thread is very
and the fact that they're all lefties makes it even more GAS-inducing to me
Keep it going! -
Absolutely, or even celebrating with her at the LBGS
-
They may have moved it to avoid the clash with the Guitar Show in Brum this time round...
-
The LBGS 2015 is on 7th and 8th March 2015!! http://www.londonbassguitarshow.com/

Spanish singer-songwriter Dani Molino (with Happy Jack on KK BabyBass) will be supporting Cherry White (with EliasMooseblaster on bass) at the Troubadour in Earl's Court this Wednesday. Come along!

Hello Mark! That's brilliant stuff, thanks - it proves that some lefty basses are as prone to being absolutely effing ugly as their righty counterparts
Others, of course, are gorgeous whatever way you look at them.
LOL in here we're all mirror images of ourselves! Is that the reason why you feel funny? -
Hadn't seen this thread, Paul! Cool shot - keep 'em coming
-
It's Lefty Gear Porn! We put our pics here so they're readily accessible when we want to ogle each other's stuff
-
Adrian was at the London Bass Guitar Show with no stand to speak of, but with an array of extremely GAS-inducing basses on display that had people stopping and admiring in awe. He had no left-handed models there, though, which I guess saved my bank account, at least this time round
-
Thumbs up, but could I please ask those who post a review here to also post it in the normal Basschatters' Reviews forum? After all, even if the model reviewed is left-handed, at least some of what is said about it may be applicable to its righty counterpart. (The same goes for reviews of RH basses/guitars/etc., obviously.)
Two copies of one review, in two different places, are better and more useful than no review anywhere -
That's fantastic, and I've just tweeted this thread

How about lefties who play bass right handed?
[/quote]
Probably a larger number than lefties playing bass left-handed, unfortunately.

First photo of set:
Ralph, you guys should create a thread for the band in the Live Music and Videos subforum!
I have around a million more photos and oodles of footage from the gig, and I'm slowly working my way through it.
