I'm currently considering going back to one bass, most I've had is three basses, I currently own two.

My Schecter P4 Exotic. Great tones from the EMG P pickups.

So I need to thin down the amount of cabs I own to free up some space. I've decided to sell my Ashdown ABM 115 Compact, its the 500 Watt version, and I can confirm it still has the original 500 watt driver in it. It doesn't have a tweeter or horn, this has never bothered me though! For its age it is in very good condition.

Fender and Schecter is like California and Moscow.
Really? Schecter is a USA company like Fender. Schecter was founded in America in 1976. Schecter has its own range of American made guitar and basses, as well as producing its cheaper ranges in countries like Korea. Fender under its own name makes basses and guitars in Mexico and Japan. Fender also owns Squier range of instruments which are made in Korea or China. Schecter has nothing to do with Russia.
Although Fender owns more companies than I mentioned above. Really it is comparing Apples to Apples from a corporate perspective.

I learned to play bass in the early 1980s when I was a teenager. In those days, the only good bass (to me) was active with multiple pickups and preferably headless. My right hand would always have been close to the bridge, and I was chasing "the honk" as much as possible.
I've returned to the bass in recent years, and through GAS ended up with a Jazz, a P, and a PJ. The P, in particular, has encouraged me to rest my thumb on the single pickup, further from the bridge than I was used to. What a revelation! I really feel the feedback I get from the less rigid string at this position makes me enjoy playing more. Much more. And the tone seems better there too. I can't imagine heading back to the bridge now, except on the Jazz, and that makes me want to play the Jazz less.
I think I've been seduced by the P. Teenage me would have turned his nose up at a single pickup passive bass. Anyone else been through this?
Of course you can get an active P bass like the Schecter P4 Exotic.

My nut is perfect, so there must be slight variance at factory. The stock strings are Ernie Ball 2849 105-45. I generally thought my jack socket was fine, I actually thought it looks good. I will check my P4 jack socket when I practice tomorrow. Hopefully the shop will sort the nut for you.
The only thing I will be doing is a setup to my preferences. Straighter neck, lower action, check intonation, and I think the strings sit a bit high in the nut, so I might order some nut files and sort that.

I haven't compared them at full volume. The CTM30 does get loud enough that I've used it to rehearse in a loud thrash metal band setting.
I'd think it would be good enough for a small gig depending on what type of music you play. CTM30 does have a DI out, so that it could be used with front of house gear at a venue. If you have a PA it could be used with that as well.

I'm still always surprised/annoyed that there isn't any modelled versions of Ashdown amps in anything. I know they're not massive in the states, but some pretty well known bands' bassists are endorsees of Ashdown. But everyone seems to be always chasing that Ampeg tone in software. Or there will be a token Trace Elliot model.
Positive Grid model Ashdown Ampheads in there Bias Amp 2 software.
There is even a Ashdown cab sim software which you can purchase from a company called Two Notes.
