7.
Hmm... what about this, for impact?
This is Agadoo put through some Soundforge filter isn't it?
8.
No worries. One simple mod I made to mine was to swap out the front panel input jack. If you take the top off, you'll see that it lives on its own bijou PCB-ette that's screwed to a spigot on the chassis. In my one the spigot was either too tall or too short (I forget which - it was a while back), resulting in the jack unit sitting at a slight angle instead of perpendicular to the front panel. The upshot of this was that the chrome socket bezel had stripped the thread in the plastic socket body when it was tightened up & at one gig it fell off, never to be seen again. Its replacement has proper solder tags & is just held on by the front panel as Nature intended, instead of Ashdown's frankly loony design. I've only ever gone direct - I have a poor relationship with hubs, they all seem to die on me. Wouldn't surprise me though, mate of mine had a Kodak scanner/printer that monopolised his PCs USB ports. Might be a power consumption thing. P. 9.
Someone was hunting for the manual a while back & I couldn't find it on Ashdown's site, so I uploaded it to my Dropbox account:— https://dl.dropboxus...rfly_Manual.PDF Possibly of interest is the Superfly Editor:— https://dl.dropboxus...rfly%201.40.ZIP This allows you to hook up the head to a PC & save presets, tweak the compression parameters & also gives access to a Parametric EQ if you prefer that to the front-panel graphic EQ. Sadly you can't do a bulk save, you have to save each preset individually. Works on XP, no idea if it'll play nicely with Win 7 or 8 though. The gain knob is weird, I grant you... but you can annoy guitarists by telling them that yours goes up to 15 - that's like... 5 more Pete.
Brilliant Pete! downloaded it thanks, re knob, I had taken all outer shell and casing from amp to get a look at pot when I thought I better ask in Basschat first before I removed about a 100 screws. Thanks for your help
10.
Not sure where to get the manual but rest assured that's how the input gain works, just keep turning until you reach the desired peak!
Thanks Barneyg42, Pete's come to the rescue! thanks for getting back to me. Calum
11. Hi All, picked up a second hand Ashdown Superfly amp for back up, nice sounds and presets, only problem is I don't have a manual for it! I noticed that the Input volume pot keeps turning,in other words doesn't go from 1 to 10 then stop, the volume works but dial can go round and round forever? I think I have heard of pots like this before so manual would be handy just to see what this baby can do! If any of you know where to look online, or have an unwanted copy, I would appreciate your help. Cheers Ceilidhswinger
12. Hi folks, Picked up a second hand Ashdown Superfly head, great sounding wee amp, looking for instruction manual or can someone point me in direction of a relivant online site for above? Also noticed that one of the volume pots, think its input volume? Turns continually? In other words, turns clockwise round and round with no 0 to 10! Thanks for your help

16. Thanks for your time Musky, Ive got a Behringer BEQ700 up for swap on here at the mo,it has level boost, I'll give that a try, interesting!
17. Hey Musky, thanks for that, yeah tis a bit quiet for the power, luckily I just use it for small gigs and have it for a travel set up. So what type of pedal will lift volume and if its effectspedal , does it need to be on to give more volume/ eg: chorus on!
18. NO LONGER LOOKING FOR SWAP! Looking to swap Behringer graphic equaliser pedal for delay pedal. Graphic pedal is in great condition hardly been used, looking to swap for second hand delay pedal.
19. ITEM NO LONGER AVAILABLE Looking to swap Boss ME 20B multiple effects
20. So your all saying that I wont get anymore volume between 4 and 8ohm? Its bound to cut power you would think! Will it not drive 4 ohm amp too hard using 8ohm cab?
21. Thanks guys! Like I said I'm using The Ashdown which is 4 ohm with 300w 8ohm PA cab for small gigs but thought about Hartke with selector which I could use for other set ups eg: extension cab for GK amp for double bass, also further down the line I could add another 4 ohm cab to get full power from Ashdown, 1000w head! Just don't want to drive amp too hard. Its a pain in the arse when you have to have different set up of gear.
