true bypass

hi i am building a true bypass strip for my ACM dissertation that has to be in this year, i just wanted some feedback on who would be interested in a custom built true bypass strip. i am going to be building them myself and have looked at the gig rig which is really expensive and huge. also there is Pedal boards .com which is the same design, but they are in the US with the economy at the moment it is very expensive to buy from there. i would like feed back on the price mainly and would would be interested in purchasing one in the next few months. i am charging £40 per switch so a 6 switch would be £240 here are some pic of the prototype.thanks rob

  6. i have just finished today my first true bypass strip it has 6 switched i hand made the box, tig welded the end painted it and finally finished it today after a 8 hour day of soldering it up but it was well worth as i have no tone loss from some of the older pedal i have here are some pic
  7. i presume that the mic are 50 each not for 5 rob
I will probably need to relocate for work, can't take all this PA gear with me so I am putting it up for sale. I would prefer the bigger lumps to be sold as one and would be looking for approx £1850 for the tops, bins, desk and poles (cost nearly £3800). They are in very good condition, were a back up rig so not extensively gigged and stored indoors. The rest of the gear is in similarly good condition and I probably even have most of the packaging for the processors, mics etc. I would prefer to have the bigger lumps collected due to the size and weight. I have this advertised else where (not fleabay!!) and will keep the list as up to date as possible. In addition, I will answer all direct mails with prices on request Lastly, I would consider part ex for the larger stuff with cash eg Musicman bass etc and will negotiate if someone wants to buy more than one piece of kit. Prices are negotiable to an extent !! Excepting the offer on the full rig, prices to sell are per item. 8.
That's the problem. I've got to be honest, that's a crazy EQ. Do your EQ for sound shaping on your amp and leave the EQ on your bass flat, this will solve the issue with the OC-2.
Thank every one that has sorted the problem rob
  9.
Hopefully that'll do it. Obviously try removing any boost you've got set on the EQ before messing with the pickup itself.
ya my settings are bass full, mid full, treble off that is the problem
  10. hi is there any where on the bass chat forum where i could advertise my PA hire. i am leaving music college in summer and want to be able to live in guildford and make an income from playing bass, functions and my PA hire . i have a HK actor a 32 channel allen and heath desk ect. i will hire out with a sound engineer many thanks rob here is the website for those interested www.g-towngroove.co.uk
  11.
Sounds like your stingray has an especially powerful output and it's overdriving the OC-2, rather than a problem with the pedal. Are the pickups especially high? Tried it with the Stingray's EQ knobs flat? You're running bass -> OC-2 -> amp, right? Not bass->amp (amp fx loop -> OC-2)?
ya it just goes straight into the the input on the amp , bass, oc2, amp i will try the eq flat and lowering the pickup
  12. hi i have just received a boss oc 2 a japan version and i have a problem when i play my bass into it i make my amp distorted, i have a musicman stingray and a aguilar ag500, when i turn the volume right down on my bass the pedal sound fine with not distortion. i have tried a friends fender jazz and it sounds fine has anyone else had this problem rob
