Aluminium Double Basses in the UK...These are as rare as Rocking Horse S**t!

I think that peoples knowledge of them & their varying sound according to set-up is even rarer...Except for a few who have no doubt spent a long time doing research on them!

Cool thread, I'm looking at a PF800 with a 15 speaker & a 2 x 10 possibly, but then being a double bass player it's gonna be a whole different kettle of fish & it's gonna need to handle some killer lows with my sound!

Yes, Bill Haley Rocked out some awesome tunes, & if you think back to 1951, it was actually 'Rock The Joint" that started Rock 'n' Roll.
Of course Dick, Joey & the recently passed on Marshall Lytle (an awesome bass player, great guy & friend of mine) left to form The Jodimars (I believe in 1955), so have a listen to that stuff too!

Not to take anything away from any of the greats, oh, & someone should mention Benny Joy too :-)

I hope you got a refund from the luthier that did the job in the first place... failing that, I expect they are doing the re-fix for free & really should loan you an instrument FOC!
