Right at the start of his set (well a couple of songs in) I loved Rod taking the jacket off remarking 'it's fukking hot up here'. And the crowd reaction to the end of Nile Rogers/Chic being so much more than Rod got, something about disco being forever popular, old pop less so, perhaps ...

I was idly watching on I Player & it occured to me that I wasn't seeing much in the way of Palestine flags (if any), then I noticed what looked like some clever trickery where a sort of 'rural' image was appearing on some flags, I'm sure it was an 'instant imposition' thing ..........................

Anyone else notice the bored looking munchkin in front of Ms Eavis ? I'm guessing Grand daughter, someone should tell her how many ice creams mummy's share of the take would buy....

I've just caught a moment or two of Glasto25, seems to be the usual mix of soft rock and 'music to die by' - still the crowd seem to like it and what is this thing for shooting lights into the face of the audience ? A lot of so-called DJs do it, so I suppose old age has finally caught up - more wobble from me soon/possibly ..............

The 'remix' track was aimed at sales, not authenticity ?

It probably is ambitious
Brighton could work quite well, and Barefaced are only a few yards away, maybe Alex could give some input ?

Thanks Dave, but it was a very long time ago. I made a point of talking to the undertakers when it was Dad's turn that she wouldn't be any where near.

Picture the scene - it's my mothers' funeral (crem job). The few mourners, including my father, are sitting patiently. We sat patiently for almost a quarter of an hour until someone (me) thought to get up & enquire of the undertakers (still outside) what the (politely) was going on.
Quiet panic followed & someone managed to get the female vicar type person on the phone.- she had forgotten & was in the shower................
Once she arrived, it was the 'backroom boys' lunch hour, complete with radio & non-too quiet conversation.

Perchance Rod has spent too long gigging in Las Vegas? What jumps in America is not necessarily 'great' in England - he could have done far worse than to incude a 'proper' backing group for some of it, which might have given the thing a bit more edge ?
