  1. FAO: Fender flatwound users - does the 'fat' part of the E string still wrap around the tuner post? I had some on my P Bass before and remember that the taper started after the string had already met the tuner. Is this still an issue? I was thinking of buying some.

      I realise that it's only aesthetic, but it bugs me.

      These were bought in the last month-6 weeks and were in the Black packets with a green Fender 'F' ion the r/h side. I've seen some white packets since. Just thought, I've got through-body stringing which would explain the difference!  So unless you drill some holes and get a new twin saddle bridge, I think you are 'as per' your photo! Sorry!

      Yep, I thought yours may be strung through-body! Seems strange that Fender strings would be designed for through-body stringing when only a handful of models feature it compared to top-loading bridges. Again, it is only aesthetic, so not the end of the world!
