1983 Yamaki made Daion Mark X B. Very rare version and indeed there are no other recorded cases of this version. Pre amp was added by the original owner shortly after purchase in 1984 and is believed to be a Kent Armstrong.
It's seen service as a gigging bass over the last 40 years and as such has some dings and marks.
Plays extremely well and has a comfortable asymmetric neck.
Would much prefer people try it out before buying but if you need it posting let me know.
Edit: comes with original hard case!

Exactly!
Which is why the player has to put it out on YouTube rather than a non-visual medium. Simply as a composition it's not particularly musical or interesting. The interesting thing is that he has made it more difficult for himself by playing it on a "inappropriate" instrument. Without being able to see that no-one would be even slightly impressed.
Soooo, it's a very effective visual performance then?

Me and the guitarist came up with Pschidyllic if anyone wants to start up a far out folk band

It's all very sinister.
Keep up at the back!
I dunno, they must have been pretty dexterous to remove them all and get away with it

Or you could provide, for the kids to play with, a box of nails, hammers, scissors and set of throwing knives, and announce that over the microphone.
Maybe.
I was tempted to hold an interactive stage diving workshop

Depped for a disco band at a wedding reception that was taking place in a mid sized music venue.
Pros:
Monitor engineer
Biggest mirrorball anywhere
Cons:
Using PA and monitors designed for an 800 cap venue for a reception with around 70 guests (half of whom are outside chatting/smoking) is overkill and horribly loud.
We were on a 4ft stage but with no barriers. 2 or 3 songs in a kid gets up on stage and starts dancing and before I know it parents are lifting their toddlers onto the stage and the laughing and filming while they run around the stage and mess around with the keyboards and drums.
At the break I lost my stinky poo and informed the venue the no insurance will cover any accidents so they should inform guests to keep their kids under control or we won't be playing.
Some weddings are nice. Some.

Where can I buy John Taylor's Duran Duran sweatshirt, pls?
It's from the Arena tour, may be a few about on eBay etc.
I thought there was a rule against wearing your own band merch?

Roisin Murphy was amazing.
Loved the New Orleans procession style beginning 🙂
I don't know if they showed it on the telly footage but they did the same at the end too

Right now I’ve got Burna Boy on, I didn’t know him before and it looks like a lot of fun to be honest.
Burna Boy was great.
Lots of amazing bassists playing all weekend, everyone seems to have gone gospel chops mad. Kojey Radical and Angelique Kidjo's bassists were especially good.
Though I normally love Snarky Puppy they didn't seem to put much into their performance so I wandered off for an ice cream 4 tracks in.

Queen could have been served better. Their sound should have been more forward.
The whole weekend is about her, what more could she want? Good of you not to assume her/their gender though 🙂

Did the perfect wedding, very cool crowd, played what we wanted (anyone done Casa Forte at a wedding before?), Loads of food and drink for the band, started at 6 and home by 9!
If only they could all be like that 🙂

Bought a Maruszczyck from Mark. Excellent communication, probably the safest packaging I've ever seen and a pain free purchase. Would recommend!

My mum was a decent recorder player - this is the sort of thing she'd play, with her mate on the joanna:
That's great but it's spelled descant.
You're welcome.

Budgie ~ Burke Shelley

I knew Burke, but for a good while I had no idea of his significance or even that he was a bass player. He would often attend local jam nights and gigs and was always incredibly supportive. He is much missed.
