Considering the spec this is a very good price, nice alternative to the overpriced sub par Fender quality we see nowadays. Don't suppose you can tell me where you got the decal from? I'll need one soon.
Cheers. -

Lowered price by £50! Staying firm at £800. Buyer arranges/pays extra for shipping.

Pretty fine Ray that!
I've a black Ray of about the same age with a highly figured neck......must have slipped through the QC police.

Hey all,
Up for sale is the stingray bass I bought here from 'dangee' not too long ago (before him, owned by 'Eubassix'). It is a beautiful bass with a fantastic flame, in my opinion the best I've seen as it's not too over the top which is one of the main reasons I bought this - fellow forum goers sure know how to pick em! It was made in 2001, is in great condition. From the pictures below (these are from when I bought it), I have since changed the strap buttons to the genuine MM original buttons and the pickguard screws to genuine MM nickel. Tight neck pocket, neck plays perfectly... no faults whatsoever. Strings are fairly new DR high beam heavys. Can take new pics on request.
Reason for sale, I want a P bass tone... that's it. Stingrays have a very unique sound which is great, it's just not for me. This is my only bass, the money will go towards a P bass build.
Official hard case, manual and tuning key included. Comes with a mirror, black pearloid, peacock (mixed weird colors) and black pickguards. All have holes in for the thumb rest.
If you are serious about buying, I can give you an email and/or phone number. I'm from Solihull if you plan to pick it up. Will ship if you want delivery, buyer pays cost and paypal fees. I have shipped quite a few guitars before to know how to take care packing.
UPDATE: Price is £740 firm. I need parts for a P bass, so if you have any, I can lower the price. I am losing money I highly doubt you will find a flame neck one of these for this price for a while! BUYER PAYS SHIPPING AND PAYPAL 3.5% FEE, OR CASH PICKUP.
Cheers.

Thanks for all the replies, I was looking at 300w ish amps but am now trying to keep below 150w. A decent combo I've seen mentioned is the Gallien Krueger MB150E-112 combo. Is this ok for my needs? I've seen them go for fairly cheap for my budget (are they all USA made?) To those saying about gigging in the near future, it's very unlikely for the moment so I won't need a loud amp for that.

Hey,
I'm going to start playing bass at home, I play guitar but at the moment I get far more enjoyment playing my friends bass. I also have a pretty decent budget. I don't know much at all about amps, I will be buying used and will have a budget of £800. I want an all around decent combo, good for recording/home use. The bass I'm getting will be either an l2000 or MM stingray/sterling. I play any genre really but mostly rock/grungy stuff. When I see the huge amount of watts bass amps use compared to guitars and the speaker combinations I don't know where to begin...
Cheers.
FINAL PRICE DROP £740 - 2001 3EQ Stingray - Flame maple neck, black body. Will trade for P bass (can offer some cash too).
