Very interested, would be closer to me if you had it in Leeds ;)
I'm in Sheffield, would pick up, just need to find the money!

well, I'm off to Sheffield next week (possibly Monday 17th) to pick up a cab that I have purchased .. so, I may be able to swing your way (or maybe meet somewhere close to where I'm going) :)

2. good day,

I've seen a cab on BC that I want ... rather badly :D so, in order to achieve this, I need to let one of my Hartke 410 TP cabs go ... yes, you heard me right, I have more than one of them!

these cabs have served me extremely well over the last few years, however I have decided to venture into the world of lightweight neo cabs, simply because I'm going to be gigging twice a week with the new covers band (www.facebook.com/quadraphonicmusic if you want to take a peak).

so, the Hartke 410 TP cab;

61cm x 61cm x 38cm
64lbs

there's never many for sale on here, but the two I've purchased over the last few years have cost me £100, so I'm looking to move them on for the same price. I'm not even tempted to try and post this thing, so I'd welcome people to come and visit me either in Bradford (BD15) or in Leeds (LS11). I have one at each location. both are in good condition and have a nice used look :) the only difference between them is that one has an output jack for linking another speaker .. but you'll have no need to use it!

3. I've played this bass at my last band rehearsal (usually use my Valenti Jazz) and I have to say I was mega impressed! it felt, played and sounded amazing. to give it a brief review;

build & design - the workmanship that has gone into this 'prototype' is just top class, I was really impressed! the body shape & design is very unique and I think it really works. the headstock, which I've been informed is smaller than planned (accidentally) also adds to a unique and modern feel. the wood is just gorgeous and has a lot to do with the way this bass sounds! it's also a very light bass .. or so it seemed.

sound & playability - you can't go wrong (IMO) with Sadowsky electronics, however this Alpher bass does something to add to that sound (the wood used and way it's built). it has an aggressive and slightly modern jazz sound, with great balance between the bottom and top end (even more so than my Valenti) but at no point does the sound become too much or over bearing! there were no dead points on the fret board, the action was low and fast, the neck was smooth and the fretboard just looks amazing and sounds awesome!

all in all, I was taken back by how good this was .. especially considering it's a prototype!

I'm certainly looking forward to putting in an order :)

4. Hello,

For sale is my Boss SYB-5 Bass Synth

I chose this pedal a couple of years over the EHX Micro Synth ... and it's done me proud ever since! With over 11 pre-sets of full, fat and driving bass synth sounds, it blew the EHX out of the water for me! yes it's digital, but the pre-sets let you instantly dial in some amazing and very recognisable synth sounds and the simplicity of the pedal mean you don't spend your entire time bent over fiddling with lost of sliders and knobs :P

The reason I'm moving this pedal on is to merely cut down on the amount of effects and remove any temptation to go over board ... my new musical projects only require very simple bass effects.

It's in great condition considering the use it's had and comes with original box and manual and it's going for the great price of £60 + P&P.

Any questions, please ask away.

Luke

5. right,

I'm looking for an Octave pedal and can't seem to decide between the Micro Pog and the Boss OC3 .. so, I need your help!

what are your thoughts on both pedals? has anyone used both of them? which would you prefer?

I've always found myself looking at EHX pedals ... but then always opting for the Boss pedal instead. This happened when I was looking at distortion & synth pedals. I just found the Boss pedals less hassle/work and easier to get the sound I want. However, this time the Micro Pog seems to be the more simple/straight forward of the pedals!

the only thing I would like the pedal to do is add a small amount of distortion!

thanks

What a fantastic bloke to deal with. Luke I would suggest starting up your own music shop if you ever have the chance.
Customer service up to this point has been tremendous. *pending sale* will update once transaction is complete.

I've thought about that on many occasions .. just dealing in 2nd hand stock sold purely on commission!
