1. hey,

purchased a genz benz shuttle 6, footswitch, carry case and leads from Chris (he even made me a speakon to jack lead)!!

great guy to deal with and would highly recommend.

the amp and equipment was delivered within 2 days of payment and it was packed superbly.

the amp was exactly what I am looking for and can't wait to get it used!

thanks again!

2. haha .. I can imagine it's the case for many people (including myself)!

just to let people know that the small EQ button has been replaced.

Just to make you aware that the Level Display (where the little needle goes nuts as you play), there is a small crack on the clear plastic approx 2mm long! it's only noticable very close up .. which is now I noticed it last night putting the new button on! it doesn't effect anything at all and is purely cosmetic!

thanks again!

3. I don't know enough about Hevos amps to get excited at this stage!

I have googled it and can see it's 400W at 4ohms, however I assume at 8ohms you would be looking at somwhere around 250W? might not be enough for what I want. but please keep me updated though.

these Genz Benz don't last long on here though .. popular little things they are!

4. Good morning fellow bassists,

Seems as though I am not the only one selling one of these beauties!

Ashdown 4x10 MAG 300 - approx 5 years old used many a times gigging and rehearsing, so it has a used look to it. there is one minor detail to make you aware of;

The small 'IN/OUT EQ' plastic button has come off (and is now lost in some venue somewhere haha). it can still be operated by using something small enough to get into the hole (I used a key, if you get what I mean). I always have the Ashdown EQ on anyway. I have contacted Ashdown asking if they can send me a replacement, however have not had a response as of yet.

Other than that, it's in perfect working condition and has never let me down. the sound is top quality and I have loved this amp immensely! Only reason I am selling it so that I can purchase a new separate amp & cab.

The other Ashdown amps are selling on here for £300 - £350 ... however I am willing to let this go for mere £200. A great amp and a perfect price for someone starting out. I am based in West Yorkshire and would prefer collection only please. willing to meet half way (if the distance is reasonable).

Hope to hear from you soon!

5. Hello,

My name is Luke and I am from Bradford in West Yorks.

I have been playing bass for around 9 years and have owned a number of bass guitars in my time

1st - Squire bass - my learning bass
2nd - Musicman copy which was rubbish haha
3rd - Yamaha bass, don't really know much about it (my father gave me it) but still own it. currently on loan
4th - Warwick Thumb Bolt on. Great bass and helped me progress. loved the sound and feel of it. This however was sold to make way for ...
5th - Modulus Flea Bass. Silver Sparkle, aguilar pre amp .. basically the top spec. best bass I have ever had and love it to bits and will never part with it :) mainly because I am still paying for it!

Anyway, my main inspirations are Stanley Clarke and Flea mainly. I have modeled myself on Flea ... a little too much sometimes haha! I love playing aggressive funk bass and have played in bands for the last 8 years.

I am using bass chat to find myself a new bass, get into understanding bass guitars on a more technical scale and speak to others and get other peoples opinions.

speak soon

Luke

6.
Ah, OK.

So how does the Ray compare to the Flea?
How does it compare... ok.

First of all the Modulus is way more powerful than the Ray and has a more clean tone/sound. The Ray is more aggressve in it's sound (more cruch is how I describe it). The Modulus is brilliant for bass chords and a more melodic style of playing. However for slap it's very good too.

However I have found that withe the Ray the action is lower and allows for a more faster/aggressive style of playing. It's also much lighter in weight that the Modulus.

Other than that both are brilliant :))

7. Hey peeps,

This is my bass that this kind gentleman is selling for me.

I have had this bass for 3 years and all I can say is that it is awesome. It has turned heads at every gig I have played, not just for the Silver Sparkle finish but also the amazing sound that it gets.

Spec is as follows

Aguilar active preamp w/ passive bass and treble

Flea Bass w/ J Pickups (I think it's J Pickups, all I remember is paying full whack for this bad boy)

1.56" wide @ the nut, 2.45" wide at the 22nd fret

The reason I am selling it is purely for money reasons... I has taken me a couple of months to even pluck up the courage to let someone else look after it. It has become part of my identity as a bass player lol.

If anyone wants any more information then please e-mail me. I don't want to have to use ebay (hate it) but if I can't sell it here, then I will have to use there.

I am also willing to consider a part exchange with cash (mainly for a Musicman Stingray bass similar to the one I have now).

Thanks
