1. Got the bass last year from EvilSmile - I bought it mainly because its was very cheap and he lived down the road and I thought if somebody suddenly asked me to do an unplugged gig I wouldn't be caught short.

Anyway nobody has asked me to play unplugged (ever) and I need space so ....

The bass plays fine - its pretty much stayed in its case since i bought it.

Its a Brunswick 4 string (I think they may be TI strings ) model TBJBA.

err its got a preamp and a hole where the sounds comes out and .... and its made of wood and it makes a very nice acoustic bass sort of noise.
It has a few dings etc but nothing major - sound and action are fine. Its got a Stagg gig bag

Prices wise i'd like what I paid for it £65 - pickup from north essex or central London.
Hope Evilsmile doesnt mind if I recycle his photo - it has not changed since he sold it to me.

On hold - arranging a handover

2. I did one gig depping for a big band - about 25 strong... the full glen miller, sinatra, micheal buble job.

It was really good fun but hard work - apart from having to play about 45 songs (about 3 hours worth) - you had you keep you eyes on the dots all the time.

My biggest problem was getting lost in the repeats and jumps to codas....especially the ones that arent written down... so I'd make sure you have those sorted at the start - then if you do fall off its easier to get back on.

Otherwise it was great experience - go for it...

3. I've got a 5 string MTD - I think its an artist (I've been told and always forget.) Its got a single MM style pickup and was naturally passive - though I have an East eq in it now.

Its pretty light - just under 4Kg on my scales. Its also a nice shape when playing live - kinda comfy.

4. This is the original red fronted version of the classic SWR amp. Reliable amp with a great clean sound.

Its 350 watts at 4 ohms - goes down to 2 ohms if needed.
Tube preamp + solid state power amp
Effects send/return
SWR aural enhancer

Its been my spare and not used much - kept in rack case (currently a shallow warwick rock bag). Has the odd scratch but generally in good condition.

Have to be either pick from north essex - or I can drive a bit in your direction for petrol money.

£300 .. may be interested in trades for basses (+/- cash)

5.
I'm interested in this bass but I live all the way up in West Yorkshire so would be a bit of a bitch to arrange a collection, is £450 the final price you're willing to go for, and are you unwilling to post?

Cheers

I also have an ibanez atk bass in sparkly cherry red which i'd be willing to give over in order to knock off some cash but its unprobable you'd want it...
Hi jackyc123 - I would be interested in trying to sort something out but its on hold at the moment -
somebody else is interested and he has first dibs.

9. I bought this for my son a few years back but its now surplus to requirements.

I 'm not sure what make it is but there is some Korean writing on the back of neck (i know its Korean coz the embassy kindly answered my email). Basschat experts reckon it probably sprung from the same factory as old hohners.

Whatever - it plays well enough for a starter bass - has a thin jazz-like neck and is faily light. Makes a pecision like sound...and it has a fender decal...

It's few years old and has some battle scars. The machine heads are a bit pitted (?oxidised) but work ok. Would come with suitably ragged old gig bag...

Trade wise - i'd be interested in jazz like basses or a fretless - and would be willing to add money (say up to £150)

...or whatever you have to swap.

I'm based in north essex but work in central london ...

Thanks mate - guess i shouldnt have dithered.

Anyway another bump having added some pictures alfresco on the patio - gives an idea how much gardening I do.....
