  1. My Streamliner 900 is up for sale and if you’re reading this you know what a great amp it is.  All working perfectly, including the blue LEDs and in good condition.  The carry bag is a bit tatty but still does the job it was made to do.  £395 posted.

The manual is available here, https://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/106530/genz-benz-streamliner-900.html

  2. Strangely enough I have the same problem which means I can't play any bass without a body cut and even that is now swinging out of sight.  My answer, go on a diet.  I know, it's hard but I'm 'doing' the Fast 800 diet and it actually works!  I've lost a stone and a half since 19th April and apart from my jeans now falling down on their own, it inspires to to carry on.  Slab body basses here I come!

  3. I’m selling my Burns 6 string bass.  I’ve wanted one for 55 years and in August 2020 I finally got one.  Green burst and short scale, sound and plays great. It arrived with a duff machine head which has been replaced with an identical one but with no Burns logo on it, I still have the original which I shall include.  I’ve changed the strings with a NewTone set, which are great.  It’s never been out of the house and is in as new condition.

In love this bass and really, really want to play it but I can’t.  No matter how hard I try, I just can’t get used to the string spacing and extra 2 strings so I’ve decided to let someone else have a go.  It could be you!

I’ve still got the original boxes and am more than happy to box it up, however, I’d like the new owner to arranger a courier.

The bass weighs 3.6 kg, the boxes weight is 2.7kg, total courier weight is 6.3kg.

    The box dimensions are, 138cm x 51cm x 20cm.

    I’m after £325.

  4. Many, many, years ago, probably very early 1970s, I acquired a pair of 4 inch ITT hifi speaker chassis.  I made a couple of boxes, probably about 6 x 6 inches, out of old 1 inch shelf and mounted the speakers in them.  The cabs had no backs but I did put something like carpet felt over the backs of the speakers.  They sounded truly amazing.  Wish I still had them!

  5. 30 foot, sorry, about 10 metres for me.  Anything shorter and you can guarantee that you will get to one or more gigs where the lead will not be long enough.  I've had to lend leads to guitarists on many gigs where they thought their 6 metre lead was long enough and it wasn't.

  6. I built a pair of Jack lite 12s and these are made from 1/4" (6mm) ply.  With the Eminence drivers and horns they weigh in at 28 pounds each.  All the drivers I bought from Blue Aran here in the UK as well as all the crossover components.  I've used them for PA and they've been brilliant.  without the horns they would be a one finger lift and I probably wouldn't need the horns for bass use.  An easy built as well.

  7. After years of upside down basses and turning the volume down with my forearm, I bought one of these.  Bought from Bell's Musical Instruments on easy terms along with a WEM ER 40 and a WEM Starfinder  1 x 15" cabinet.  I was a happy bunny!
