Domestic issue basses didn't have it, the export models for the first 8 weeks did have the small 'Squire Series' decal on the ball end of the headstock.

Pots are correct for this era JV.

Love the sound of these, classic bass tone.
Have an old school bump on me! -

Here's one of mine, '61 Jazz, original Oly white, with loads of original candy;

Proper. GLWTS, worthy of a bump from me.

Underside of pickups should be black. To me, the neck, tuners and pickups look right, or at least period correct, the other bits are repro, the body would need stripping for further comment.

Case is an 80's reissue, not original as he states. A lot of dollar for something with so little known authenticity. Body date in the pickup cavity would help if its not been painted over. Most black refins hide extra routing, which could also explain the lost pickguard.

Bump for offers?

For Sale, Brand New
Vintage Style Fender Jazz profile neck.
Heel size fits Fender J basses
Gorgeous Flamed maple neck, with Slab Rosewood Fingerboard, as a '62 reissue.
The neck is new, but has been amber lacquered, and nut added.
Pics say it all really
Vintage style truss rod adjustment at the heel.
I bought it for a project that I just wont finish, so its up for grabs
The frets are new fit, so if i was keeping it, i would have them dressed to suit my taste, but this is a new neck, so you can do what suits you on all counts, decal, wear, frets etc. No pre drilled holes (apart from tuners), so anything you fit or fit it to, wont have hole alignment issues.
Price includes UK shipping.
Thanks
Rick

This is domestic issue. The export ones changed to the large Squire decal after the first couple of months.
