Hi, After selling my B3 ( due to the fact that I only used Comp + Tuner + Chorus ! ) my friend loaned me his new MS60-B. Been messing around with it, and for its size , I believe its worth getting. Only approx 1/3 the size of a B3. Fits into my Bass case ! Also downloading the Share + Edit software of the B3 , you can get all the presets on screen ( though you do have to read from screen, and enter manually into the MS60-B ) I have now got one on order , along with the Zoom MS50-G ( to be used with my solid body Mandolin - yep I know its a strange mix but my Function band do some REM etc) Using a true bypass loop switch box, I cannot tell ( even at a volume ) the difference between "through" and true bypass, to my ears it does not alter the signal from my bass at all. Must give my friend his MS60-B back when mine arrives ! Awaiting delivery Pete

Hi, I sold my PF500 to a fellow basschat member, only to have it returned saying it cut out when used over half volume into a 4ohm load. ( I had only ever used it with a 8ohm load with no problems ) I refunded the money, and sent the PF500 back to Absolute Solutions under warranty for repair. I had to wait 8 weeks for my PF500 to come back from Ampeg repair center ( Polar Audio ) with a report saying they had "soaked" it for one day and found no problem ! [b]I thought my 8 weeks was a one off..................obviously not[/b]. The other problem is for people with Mackie gear..................Polar audio are their repair people as well. By the way, my PF500 has had the pants knocked off it over the last few weeks ( at one gig - Master was at 3 o clock, gain at 1 o clock into 2 Genz Benz Focus 4x10 cabs - gritty sound and LOUD ) Pete

Update............ Used it for the last three weekends ( over half volume ! ) ............................NO PROBLEM ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Used the same leads and cabs. Feeling even more confident now. Anyone know where you can get the revision issue of the amp ? Pete

Ran my PF500 last nights gig.....on for four and a half hours, at VERY loud volume.....no problem. Getting more confident with it now ( spending less time looking at the fault LED to see if it comes on ) and more time enjoying myself. Pete

Update to my previous post................. Ran my PF500 last night at rehearsal, into a Peavey 2x15 4Ohm cab for at least two and a half hours with gain at 12 oclock , and master at 12 oclock.LOUD, LOUD, LOUD ! I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT IT DID NOT CUT OUT AT ALL ! ! ! ! ! ! IT DID NOT EVEN GET HOT ! ! ! ! I have noticed that the fan is on all the time, interesting, because it was not on all the time prior to going away to Polar Audio, who said there was no fault found ! Feel a bit more confident to use it on the next three gigs now. Pete

Update to my previous post. Received it back from Absolute Music ( taken 8 weeks ) POLAR AUDIO, the warranty repair people Ampeg use in Europe, say they soaked the amp and found NO PROBLEM ! It must be my leads or cabs ! So it has been returned back to me after 8 weeks away with no problem found. Have asked for the engineers report ( doubt if I will get one ) I have got 3 gigs in a row the next 3 weekends, and will be using it ( but will carry a spare in case ) Watch this space ............ pete

Hi, Used my PF500 for around 4 months ( into an 8 ohm cab ) no problem. Decided to change to a TC 112 combo ( ease of setting up ) so sold it to Dropzone on here. Two weeks later Dropzone ran it into a 4ohm cab, half volume, and it cut out. I refunded him the money, and sent it back to Absolute Music Solutions under warranty........4 weeks ago ! Still waiting.
