Hi folks
I have an early 90s SR4 with a noisy jack socket. It is the enclosed 'black box' PCB-mounted type and I'm wondering if I can replace it with a standard 3-pole Switchcraft-type like THIS. I'd connect the socket to the PCB with short lengths of wire.
Anyone done this and if so do they have a wiring diagram showing what goes where? Or do I have to bite the bullet and replace like for like?
Thanks folks, all input much appreciated.

I won't go into the details or reasons but just wanted to post a public thanks to Chris for providing a fantastic service to us low-frequency folks. Amazing responsiveness and a real gent to boot. Cheers mate!

That's great, many thanks indeed - perhaps my old XL2-T will live to gig another day after all...
-
Hi - hope you won't mind my asking - I have an '89 XL2-T which is missing the boomerang. Does the NSD cello strap holder do the job OK, and where did you get it from?
Thanks so much!

Hi folks - I'm going to widen the net a bit - would also look at EBS and Markbass 2 x 12s, possibly other premium speaker brands too but must be 2 x 12 and preferably lightweight. Hit me up!
Cheers all

Well thank you sir!

Didn't want you to think I'd trashed the price! I'm only selling because the project I bought them for has finished and I now have more use for a 2 x 12 - great little cabs.
-
Sorry mate, were you about sell yours ?
-
Sorry folks, had a re-think on this. If you're looking for AE112s there is at least one other pair on here at present.
Cheers all

All kind of trade offers are welcome. Especially 4 string basses in same price value.

How about this Custom Shop P-Bass?
http://basschat.co.uk/topic/263159-yamaha-trb5-pii-and-fender-custom-shop-precision-for-sale -
Okay - £1250 for the TRB and £1400 for the P (and these retail at £2300 now...). Any takers?
-
Hi folks - just to say that the prices are reasonably flexible, especially on the TRB. I've just gone and spent the money I need out of one of these so don't be shy in making me an offer already...
Cheers

Hi folks
My lovely P-Bass has found a new home with the equally lovely Norm. Enjoy mate, and thanks for making the trip!

Pure Bass Lust - what a great name for a band!

Thanks to everyone who looked and PM'd but she's now gone off to a new home.
All the best

I cannot tell you how glad I am that someone (else) bought that beauty lol!!! Hope it's gone to a good home.

Hi Oggy
OK, let me know if you want to move it on - I use a P-Bass for most things but it would be nice to have something really different in the stable.
