  1. Good point but also, it's the flexibility of having something at home so essentially I have a rig stored at the studio for gigs, plus then I have something for home practise, plus then I can chuck it in the car for doing any other smaller gigs or selling jobs without having to go to the studio

  2. Hello all,

im after a bit of assistance....

my rig is an aguilar TH500 and 2 x SL112 cabs, which are flightcased and stored in a studio where we rent a storage room.

although the SL's are super lightweight, being kept in the flightcases mean that whilst they're kept safe and  blemish free, to move them becomes a bit arkward and annoying!

when going to gigs with the main function band and blues band, we take the band transit splitter van so that's easy enough.

id just like an additional set up which I can move easily in the car when depping or doing smaller gigs etc., so Im on the hunt for a decent quality combo (under £700 and ideally around £500 if possible)  which I can keep at home for home use, chuck in the car and use for smaller gigs (where I can't be arsed loading the flight asked cabs etc) and for simple rehearsals.

i have considered using my head wth a Barefaced 10 but not sure it'll give me enough 'volume' and sound.

    any suggestions?

    Cheers.

  3. For sale is a mint condition EHX Bass soul food pedal.

Still boxed, hardly any use - I just prefer my VT Bass for drive so this hasn't got used.

    £60.00 + postage

    No trades thanks.

  4. So, bought this last summer - tried it a couple of times as an alternative to my OC2, but I still prefer my OC2 so this has sat in the box!

I've used it on 2 gigs, plus a bit of 'noodling' at home, but for what I need, the OC2 seems the better option.

It's in mint condition as it's hardly used and still boxed.

  5. Picked up a really smart support gig!!

    http://www.llangollenfringe.co.uk/index.php/en/festival-2017/wilko-johnson

Supporting none other than Wilko Johnson on 19th July as part of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod fringe festival.

Norman on bass for Wilko too!!

Needless to say, I'm seriously looking fwd to this one!

Hopefully it'll be a sell out crowd of some 2500 in the pavillion arena!!

  6. Wrexham is actually really good and there are lots of people trying something different.

A really active and popular 'originals scene with interesting bands, plus a great blues thing going on.
There's also the Focus Wales' festival in Wrexham every April - check it out...........

There are also lots of pub covers bands and jam nights.

Additionally, there's Chester 20 mins away with some decent venues, plus Liverpool and Manchester are within an hour's commute.
